I have nothing but good things to say about the Neo G ITB Band Strap. Before my IT band injury, I was comfortably doing two half marathons a week. However, after the injury, I couldn't run more than 3K without significant pain and was off my feet completely (in terms of running) for over 4 weeks. I tried a competitor's product and managed to increase my distance to 5-8K comfortably, but it still wasn’t enough.Enter the Neo G ITB Band Strap. I have to strap it on uncomfortably tight to be effective, but the results have been nothing short of remarkable. Just one week after switching from the competitor's product (the higher rated black one on amazon which comes in about £10), I was able to run as far as 15K. This strap has truly transformed my running routine and has given me the confidence to push my limits again. The quality and support provided by the ITB Band Strap are top. Its easy to adjust, stays in place throughout my runs (if you wrench it as tight as possible). If you're dealing with IT band issues and are serious about your running, this strap was a game-changer for me. Highly recommended!I consulted with my physio about using these straps and she suggested they work for some people, not everyone. But i can confidently say did wonders for me and my road to recovery.

The silicon pad that helps to hold the strap securely in place on your thigh is deeply flawed. It started crumbling after the second wear! The second wear! At first I thought, no big deal, a piece fell off, only it KEEPS crumbling. Surely the seller knows this is happening. Note: You can't return this item. Maybe the seller doesn't want Amazon to see just how many would be returned. Or hey, why don't they just let you buyers buy replacement pads? How about that? But no. Ridiculous! Don't buy. You'll be sorry.

it was either too tight and cutting off my circulation or it was falling off

I've tried a few ITB straps, and while this has been the best one I've tried, I did take off one star because it stretched out pretty quickly which occasionally causes the velcro to change on my leg since the velcro is now a bit wider than the strap. That said, it has lasted much longer than any other ITB strap that I've tried. Most others have become nearly unusable after a month or two of regular use, and this one is still doing its job a few months in.

I was dealing with an IT Band issue in 2016 and I ordered this strap to help me recover and continue to run. I wore it in a half marathon in Washington DC the following week, and was able to run pain-free. I have used the strap as a preventive device in 7 marathons and 33 half marathons the past three years and have had no IT Band issues. It feels very secure and I have no problems with circulation or chafing. I run with it 4-5 days a week, and have been getting a new strap about every 18 months, primarily because the velcro starts to not stick as well. I'm on my third strap and will happily continue to wear/order these, as they have been very successful. I received one strap in the mail that had a crack in the buckle, and was appreciative that the vendor quickly replaced it for me. Great customer service and great product.

Not that firm but comfortable! The silicone pressure point for the knee is removable. I found it to be effective vertically vs horizontal (how it came). I also move it more to side to give out not pressure next the the strap insert!Pros-comfortable-good quality-enough firmnessCons- silicone pressure pad-small (wish it was a little wider)- Doesnt apply pressure too goodI used it for running/ interval training so I Sweat Alot, ALOT ! FULL BODY. I was surprised on Howe well the strap kept it's pressure and diddnt slip, also how it handled the sweat. Obviously it absorbed some sweat and it became sweaty but I amass impressed it never fell or slip off my leg.Did it help with my pain ? A little but I wasn't expecting it to cure my pain. Pain was still there after my second mile and up Untill my 5th. I found to help placing it higher towards my thigh helped reduce pain versus lower towards my knee (where the pain is)Again Only wore it once !!! since then I have gotten treatment for my knee n can't exercise for a month. I will update over time how well of a beaten it can handle !!! Overall good product

Amazing Product.... I have RA and recently developed knee pain and more.....finally found out it was an IT problem....Read the reviews and decided to take a chance on this knee strap.....I do not exactly know how it works but it does work....I was wearing a wrap before this which did nothing....NEO G has a rubbery insert that sits right on the painful spot. I think this is the key to its working. The velcro wrap stays in place and the strap is long too. Since wearing it daily I can walk without the horrible pain I had. I am hoping I am healing inside but this strap gave me my life back. And when you have less pain you feel better mentally. So buy it and walk and run once more....

For me running is the best way to meditate, get in touch with my body and nature. Having a running injury was devastating to me as I'm sure many of you reading this can relate. I consider myself an average runner who is always looking for a way to improve. 2015 was a good running year for me, I set a few personal best records and won a few 5k trail races. In October of 2015 I smashed my leg on a rock during my first ever outdoor climb. I injured my vastus medialus muscle causing the front of my knee to swell. this weakened my knee stability and caused severe pain on the outside of my knee. A chiropractor confirmed that I had IT band syndrome. I waited a a few weeks for the swelling to go down and still had mild pain on the outside and entered a local 5k event, half a mile in I was in tremendous pain, I hobbled along and finished the race but looking back I should have quit the race. After the race I finally admitted to myself that the problem was not going to go away and reluctantly, with mild depression decided to take some time off. So here it is March 2016, I still have a very mild dull pain on the outside of my knee and a lump that hasn't gone away completely from the climbing smash (no pain on the lump) and I want to run! I did a lot of research on IT band and came across this strap. I ordered it, received it, installed it and out the door I went. The strap isn't comfortable as it takes some getting used to but so far I've been on six runs, about 20 miles and no pain on the outside of the knee. I'm taking it easy and also doing strength training to rehabilitate and prevent the injury from re-occurring. I'm using a book called quick strength for runners which I find very beneficial.

There is no non-slip backing on the band and so... it slips. If I tighten it enough it will stay put but then the Velcro strap digs into my leg (which was solved by trimming the velcro, but I think it still is too tight). I tried this one after my Pro-Tec band wore out but I think I'll be buying another Pro-Tec.
