Why do we use the more costly etching process for frosted protectors?
Sandblasting process: tiny quartz sand particles are sprayed on the transparent glass by specific means to produce a matte finish effect.
Etching process: the surface of transparent glass is etched with specific chemical reagents to produce a matte finish effect.
The disadvantage of the sandblasting process is that it is difficult to achieve high quality and uniform spraying, and the quartz sand attached to the surface is more easily dislodged by external friction. Therefore, the frosted tempered glass may have the following two disadvantages:
1) the surface is excessively rough causing a serious loss of screen clarity and wear of the Apple pen tip;
2) the glass surface has almost no matte finish effect, resulting in the anti-fingerprint not lasting, or even failing to achieve the anti-glare and anti-fingerprint effect.
On the contrary, the etching process is a chemical reagent corrosion process, so the product quality is more stable. The matte surface effect of its glass surface is moderate, which can maintain good clarity and also achieve the effect of anti-glare and anti-fingerprint, and can reduce the wear and tear of the Apple pencil.
Important:
It's a mild matte finish. Although it doesn't have quite the same drawing-on-paper-feel as matte plastic protectors, the matte glass is much better than glossy glass. Most importantly it doesn't get scratched as quickly as a plastic protector and severely degrades the display quality.

I mostly use my iPad for work which means lots of reading reports. This makes reading way easier on my eyes. Plus hides fingerprints and fit the iPad mini 7 great.

I was fed up of constantly cleaning fingerprints from regular glass screen protectors, so after reading other reviews and viewing video reviews I decided to take a punt on this product for my iPad Mini 6.I was concerned about how much a matte screen protector would affect the display quality, having had other paper feel type screen protectors in the past.I needn’t have worried, with the lack of fingerprints and the reduced glare, I think the picture quality is just as good as with the tempered glass screen protector I had on previously.As other reviews have stated, this screen protector, while matte, doesn’t feel like the paper type ones, but is more like the feel of a frosted glass bottle or drinking glass, silky smooth with none of the grabbing you get when you run your finger over regular glass screen protectors.The included fitting frame makes getting a centralised position quite easy, although the protector is a tight fit in the frame, so if you don’t have it tight up against the inside of the frame you may need to reposition it.The screen protector has a small clear border and with the wide bezels of the iPad, it looks very stylish once fitted.While this is expensive ish compared to all the generic tempered glass protectors available, you do get 2, so I think it is good value given the quality.I would suggest fitting it in a steamy bathroom to take as much dust out of the air as possible, I didn’t initially and ended up having to fit the second one, as while I maybe could have fiddled about with the supplied dust stickers to remove the trapped dust, I had a second one so didn’t bother mucking about.

easy application, came with all the tools necessary to apply easily and even came with a back up screen protector in case you need one. Fits and looks beautiful and ended up buying one for my larger iPad as well.

I recently installed this matte screen protector, and I'm quite pleased with the results. The anti-glare properties are effective, significantly reducing reflections and making the screen much more usable in bright environments. Fingerprints are also less noticeable, maintaining a cleaner look. The matte finish provides a pleasant tactile feel without compromising touch sensitivity. Installation was simple and bubble-free. I prefer this more to my previous regular (non-antiglare) screen protector.

Works as expected though I’m not a ‘throw it in the bag’ type. Has good texture and glare diffusion. Fits perfectly and fairly easy to install. Other brands make the peel n stick process easier but with more single use plastic - so it’s a personal trade off, UX or environment.

I had my doubts despite the many positive reviews, but this screen protector is indeed as great as many say it is. I was looking for a matte screen protector for my iPad Mini 6, one that didn't feel like sandpaper but still offered a little resistance when using the pencil. This one does a fabulous job with all three criteria. It feels great when using it, and there's no noticeable degradation in quality, although I also didn't compare it to the device's screen (without a protector). The fact that I don't notice any degradation is enough to tell me this is a fabulous protector. I did have 2 bubbles that I couldn't get rid of, but they were gone within 12 hours.

I was a bit timid when I saw how the screen was applied. However, I followed the instructions step by step. In the end, it actually was the easiest screen protector I have applied and with the nicest results. Smooth. No bubbles. Sensitive to touch. Highly recommend.

First off I SUCK at putting screen protectors on devices. I either pay someone else to do it for me or I bug my husband to do it and when I tell you, this was the easiest one I’ve ever done I’m not exaggerating. It helps cut down the glare significantly, I found out when I took it outside to read while my kid was playing, and it just makes touching the screen so much more pleasant if you want a really good screen protector I would recommend this.

I use my iPad for reading and drawing. Neither of which are particularly great on a glossy screen.I have used matte screen protectors on my iPad Air before, from a different brand.This sit somewhere between those and glossy screen protectors. There is a slight loss of image quality, but not as bad as other matte screen protectors. There is also less resistance compared to those, but still noticeable more than glossy screens.Installation was fairly simple. The package came with 4 wet clothes and 2 dry ones, as well as plenty of dust removal stickers and a guide to help line it up right the first time. The only complaint I have is that the wipes are all fairly small. I have pretty average size hands for a guy and the most I could do was use two fingers to awkwardly slide the wipes around the screen.If you don’t religiously dust your home or have pets I recommend doing this in the bathroom. Clean off your sink, close the door, and run the shower until the mirror starts to fog a bit, then turn it off and apply the screen protectors. The water vapor from the shower clings to the dust so it’s not floating around in the air.I was able to get it right the first time and use the second to do my wife’s iPad without needing to buy another set.

Die Passgenauigkeit des Schutzglases wirkt gut, die Anbringung ging problemlos und ich hatte bei der Positionierung keinerlei Schwierigkeiten. Die Verwendung mit dem Apple Pencil ist deutlich angenehmer als zuvor mit einem glatten Schutzglas, also hier den gewünschten Nutzen absolut eingebracht.Man muss aber ganz klar sagen, das die Auflösung und Helligkeit des Displays klar leidet. Text etc ist nicht mehr so scharf, und zwar sind die Spiegelungen weg, aber das Display wirkt insgesamt auch klar dunkler als zuvor.Für mich trotzdem uneingeschränkt nutzbar, vor allem die Verwendung vom Apple Pencil gefällt mir jetzt deutlich besser, aber man muss sich im klaren darüber sein dass es auch Nachteile in Hinsicht aufs Display hat.

Dudaba de si era original de Mothca al no tener reviews pero sí lo es!! Es un protector rígido de cristal pero con acabado mate.PROS:- El tacto es similar a la parte trasera del ipad o la pantalla de un Kindle, pero con un ruido y tacto muy agradable y suave al dedo. Mejora un poco la fricción con el Apple Pencil pero MUY POCO, no esperéis un paperlike, este es mucho más suave pero mejor que escribir a pantalla.- Las huellas tan molestas desaparecen. Es maravilloso en ese sentido.- Muy fácil de instalar y cero burbujas en mi caso, las 2 que se quedaron las puedes presionar hasta que salgan por los bordes, instalación perfecta. Limpiar bien la pantalla antes y aseguraos que no hay polvo flotando.- Encaja en la pantalla y cámara a la perfección.- Vienen 2, con limpiadores, pegatinas de alineación y para atrapar polvo.- Aún usando el Apple pencil NO dejan marcas de rallones del lapiz. He leído que otros protectores de papel quedan rallados, este no.CONS:- Empeora la nitidez de la pantalla. Añade una textura de grano a todo (normal en cualquier tipo de protector mate anti-glare)... En este caso al ser iPad mini se notará más porque las letras ya son pequeñas de por sí por lo que pierden definición, pero sigue siendo leible todo, pero es un aviso.- Si dibujas con el Pencil empeorará los trazos largos, ya que añade ondulaciones... He leido que es algo que hace cualquier protector de pantalla... En este caso se notan bastante.
