I have always made my Ramen in the microwave by putting the Ramen and water in a glass bowl for three minutes. The problem is that there are always crunchy spots that didn’t get cooked well in the water. This little beauty fixes that! And the strainer makes it easy to get exactly how much juice you want. I don’t love eating the Ramen out of the lid, though it does fit the Ramen in there (I just feel like it’s a little small for mixing the flavor packet in well, so I still put my Ramen into another bowl afterwards). Make sure you follow the directions and use cold water, or it will bubble over—as my daughter learned.

I really like Ramen. It is good, well spiced and basically cheap soup. But normally it requires you to boil water and I hate boiling water. This cooker though is what you need to cook the ramen in the microwave. That makes the process fast and allows you to fix it the way you like. Clean up is super fast because the 3 pieces are plastic. The base is basically a small pot with a handle. Into that you put the strainer and break up your ramen brick into small pieces. Fill the pot with water to the line in the strainer, sprinkle the ramen spices into the pot, put the lid on and put it in the microwave. You can use the suggested cooking time but everyone has their own preference for pasta. So the first time you cook, set the timer to the low range and when it stops, take it out and taste the noodle. If it needs more cooking, cook it some more but keep track of the total time so that the next time you'll know the time you should use at the beginning. The ingenious part of this cooker is that the lid is actually a bowl so put the bowl on the table, take out the strainer of perfectly cooked noodles and put them into the bowl. Next, pour the spiced broth from the pan over the noodles and enjoy soup. But sometimes I want just the seasoned pasta and you can do that too. Just don't put the seasoning in the pot for cooking. Merely put the ramen in the strainer, add water and cook it. At the end, put the unseasoned noodles in the bowl or on a plate and sprinkle a SMALL amount of the seasoning over the ramen. I used the full packet but that was basically way too spicy. But now that I think about it, the ramen was distinctly spicy and I might do it again. For the rest of you normal people though, treat it as you do salt and pepper. Just season to taste. Since I got this cooker, my case of ramen packets has begun to disappear. I have a quick way to make soup or pasta and I don't have to stand around watching a pot boil. The microwave tells me it's done.

I had to look through a lot of different stores and places to find exactly what I was needing. The people in my house like to cook ramen and yucky thin plastic bowls. And I knew that that was not good for them or healthy and anyway shape or form. So this was an absolute godsend to find that it was not only microwavable safe with dishwasher safe as well and it Cooks it exactly like he likes! He says that it even cooks faster than his normal routine. So it's a win all around.

These are great, well worth the money, and worthy of the 5 stars. That being said, they could be made to be a little better. The holes in the drainer bowl are a little big when using dried vegetables, and so a portion of your vegetables end up in the bottom bowl. This isn't a problem if you eat your ramen in the soup, which is the traditional way, but I like to eat my noodles without the soup. Also, if they put a handle on the drainer bowl, it would be easier to lift out of the bottom bowl when it's full of recently boiling water. Just a tab that could match up with the current handle would be nice.I am not knocking any stars off, because this is still worlds better than how I was preparing ramen before, and I do highly recommend purchasing these as they are now, as almost every product has room for improvement, and that, to me, is not necessarily a reason to give a product a lower rating.I would post a video, but Amazon wants access to my entire phone forever in order to make one.

Product works great, however the non slotted bowl is too small to work with the package size of Ramen noodles.

Bowl with the strainer inside is too small for packs of square Buldak. You have to break them in half. If you microwave it, the water boils over every single time. Good idea but it needs to be bigger and deeper.

I recently tried the microwave ramen cooker, and it has completely changed my ramen experience! This handy tool makes cooking ramen so much easier and faster. The cooker is designed to perfectly steam the noodles, allowing them to cook evenly without overflows or spills, which is a common issue with traditional methods. It's incredibly simple to use — just add water and noodles, pop it in the microwave, and in just a few minutes, you have a perfectly cooked bowl of ramen. The built-in lid helps with heat distribution and prevents any messes, making cleanup a breeze. Whether you're a busy student or someone who loves quick, delicious meals, this microwave ramen cooker is a game-changer. Highly recommend!
