I have used many foam rollers and love a good back crack. Tried this at a friends and ordered the next day. Something about this one really gets in there and helps me get a delicious back crack every time.

So glad to get this! Product looks just as described and I will immediately start using it.Delivery wasn't great ( usps left it laying up against our mailbox, down the road from our house) lucky I came by when I did! But that's on the post office.I have also order the balls for hands and feet with a book. I have read great things on these. Seems to be of good quality.

I was reluctant to spend so much on this roller but felt it would be worth it because I was already feeling relief from Sue's techniques with a large, rolled-up towel and/or with my "other" rollers which I knew were too hard. I am so glad I made the purchase because what I am getting out of the techniques is a definite improvement with the proper roller and I enjoy knowing that this is how she designed it to be. I recently purchased the balls for my feet and am anxious to use them. I learned many of the techniques years ago from Sue's Melt method book but purchased the instructional/informational DVD's when I bought the roller and am so glad I did. It's nice to do the techniques with her, leaving no doubt about proper technique.

This produce it soooooo much more comfortable to use, compared to a hard, styrophone like foam roller that I have.

Just five minutes lying on the Melt Roller relieves pressure in mid and lower back. Also use it at intervals in my gentle Pilates workouts. I like that is blue and light weight and does not smell odd.

This is a very nice foam roller. Paid quite a bit more for it than I thought I ever would for a foam roller but it came highly recommended from a co-worker. It has a softer feel to it so it doesn't feel as stiff. When I would roll with other foam rollers without the "give" it would be a bit painful rolling over tight, sensitive areas, such as IT band. With the Melt roller, its softer feel allows it to form around the area and you sink into the roller more. It has more of a massage feel than a rolling pin feel. I find that I am able to focus and spend more time on tight and sensitive areas because it doesn't hurt quite so bad.Great roller, highly recommend if you don't mind paying a bit more.

Exactly what I was needed. THANK YOU!!!The hard one is killing you guys, you’re worsting your problem with it and you don’t even realize it. USE that softer one. It doesn’t matter your weight, the pressure your body will naturally apply on it is what you need to start the healing process. We have this tendency to put WAY too much pressure thinking we will heal faster, NO !!! IT’S WORSE ! BE PATIENT, is the key. We have to LEARN to be patient. 🤷♀️I wish I knew that MELT method and have that soft roller before BUT it’s never too late, isn’t it ! I’m now on my healing way. 👍😃Have a successful healing everyone. 🤗I’m just an humble customer trying to help. I will not receive any reward for this review. 😉

Skeptical due to the silly high price and possibly unproven "science," I nonetheless ordered this after reading Sue Hitzmann's book about her MELT method, in absolute desperation after having tried nearly everything else for nearly lifelong joint pain. I never thought I'd get any version of a roller, though; I had, like Hitzmann (as she explains in the book), shunned the hard foam rollers offered in gyms and rehab clinics. They really hurt, and who needs more pain? But her point is to provide a means of addressing the fascia tissue, a long-neglected source of dysfunction and pain, without having to go to a therapist: "Hands-off therapy," she calls it. Do it yourself. So I figured it was worth risking the $80 for a *soft* foam roller and following the instructions in the book.As per her warning, the first few sessions of DIY fascia rolling produced discomfort but of a new sort compared to my usual. As a former competitive gymnast and runner--with hypermobile joints (EDS)--I know about pain and rehab and joint surgery. I had been told on several occasions that I would not be able to walk past age 40 and "it's a miracle you are not in a wheelchair." I enjoy defying the experts but I have crutches, braces, and walking sticks permanently on standby in a corner for those really bad days. And now, well past age 40, I have no good days.Oddly, though, the post-rolling pain was located in new places such as my back, where I normally have few issues, and it was bilateral and generalized--any back pain I customarily have is usually very localized, one-sided and responsive to chiropractic balancing. Bilateral, diffuse pain means something different has been addressed, and is changing. But I stuck with it. And am utterly grateful for this simple, at-home method of rolling out the stuck tissue between skin and muscle because for the first time in months I SUDDENLY HAD ZERO KNEE PAIN. This is, for me, unheard of; I am normally unable to sleep all night due to having to rearrange my joints as the pain wakes me up. I am now sleeping all night in any position I want. I have to emphasize again: For the past few decades this has been literally impossible. As far as I'm concerned this was eighty bucks well invested.I do my MELT rolling religiously in the evening with the TV on. I use this goofy blue roller on every part of my body. Sometimes it really hurts. Sometimes I feel it worse within hours or the next day but the discomfort dissipates and in its place is something I had not felt for most of my life: 100% pain relief. Normal.Heck, who cares about the how or why. You will have to pry this device from my cold, dead hands.

The MELT roller is the most effective roller I’ve ever used. The consistency is slightly softer than the typical hard foam rollers so the pain relief is more effective and longer lasting. It’s 5 inches in diameter instead of 6 so there are a ton of other moves/exercises/benefits you can do with this roller due. There is a whole program through the MELT Method website you can access through on Demand videos and instructors around the world who teach live classes using the rollers. So the benefits for pain relief and injury prevention, go far beyond having a great durable roller with awesome consistency.I’ve had severe chronic pain from being an athlete and professional dancer and using this roller and the MELT program has allowed me to get out of pain, stabilize and stay out of pain.
