it's a precision tool, read manual to max its usefulness. the instrument came inside a box & encased in a flimsy, bubble-wrap-like thin plastic. all accessories were included as advertised. finish & make looks expensive/high quality despite itscheap looking packaging. it gives precise readings on several items. nice instrument with different modes for flexibility. a good value for the money. treat them gently though cause digital scales have fragile mechanisms that can easily be dislocated.

Scale is accurate and works very well. The screen is very easy to read and is perfectly calibrated. It comes with two calibration weights. Great unit for the price and very good quality.

Very accurate, compact size. Not too heavy. Works well for making sure the herbal capsules I make are accurate and consistent doses. Looks durable enough.

I needed this to measure out chemicals to the nearest .001 grams. First measurement needed was .107G with adder of .09g for total 0.197g I ended up at .2 because it was too hard to take out .003 of only the second powder. I found the scale to be very accurate and repeatable even at these small mass. Others have mentioned needing to use a base mass and then add your desired weights, instead of using the tare feature at low weights. I did not find this to be the case. I calibrated the unit (in instructions) and made sure level. I started the weighing outside, but this is almost impossible. It is VERY sensitive to air movement. It will measure the force of just your exhaled breath. So needs to be in completely still air. I suspect this is behind some peoples complaints of the number 'searching'. I have one complaint, and that is the plastic dish. Plastic builds up too much static, so it is difficult to completely empty the dish of powder. You are left with a film that you somehow have to wipe off and add to your mix. There was easily .01 or more grams of power residue left. So MAXUS, if your reading this, change to a metal tray please.

The scale seems to operate properly, and is very consistent in repeated measurements of the same item. However, measurement of very small quantities seems to require technique. The device can be inconsistent and likely inaccurate when measuring a very small quantity if it is added after hitting tare to zero the scale before adding the material. It seems that the only way to measure small quantities accurately is to not use the tare function before adding the small weight to the scale. Rather than using tare, just place the measuring pan on the scale, note the weight, and then add material until the target total weight is reached. Someone else in another review indicated that this odd requirement has something to do with "rounding off error" in the brain of the unit, but I cannot confirm that. I can confirm however that if the tare function is avoided, measurement of small quantities seems at least repeatable. Whether accurate or not is a separate question, but I have no way to check that other than with the calibration weights which may be too large to check accuracy with far smaller samples. In any case, for the price, this seems to be a decent scale if used carefully.

I've kept freshwater fish for over 10 years and saltwater fish for about 6 years. No longer keep saltwater. I currently have a 36 gallon bowfront, a 56 gallon - not a 55, and a 29 gallon.I bought this scale to accurately treat fish for diseases. And I use a 5 gallon aquarium for a hospital tank. Some medicines are geared for 10 gallon hospital tanks. Example, each package treats 10 gallons. If your tank is 5 gallons, you're left with making your best guess with the amount of antibiotic or other medicine. And I didn't want to guess. So I bought this scale and it arrived last Sunday. It's fabulous. Easy to use. The calibration instructions work like a charm but you have to follow the instructions exactly as written. At least I know I'm properly treating my sick fish.FYI for the less experienced...I recommend treating for gram negative and positive bacteria plus treatment for parasites. Fish always develop secondary problems. And get this scale... Good luck.

Easy to use. Built-in hinged clear plastic windscreen protection for weighing platter (but cheap plastic which I think cover and/or hinges will likely break in near future).I've had this for 6 months. No probs EXCEPT for VERY VERY dim display, regardless whether or not on 2 new 1.6VDC AAA cells or USB-C +5VDC power cord. So far, unit has never lost calibration. Buttons and USB port are all working fine.Observations: The 2x20g calib weights less than or equal to within +/- 0.001g of each other (also weighed on pro lab scale and compared to other brand "20g" weights. I'm surprised these weights are so precise. Almost always each shows 20.000g when placed on platter even without first using "Tare"; even other brands' weights are precision)CON: Significant. When running on USB port power, unit does not pull enough current to keep 5 of 6 of my powerbanks "On" when I'm using one of them instead of the 2xAAA cells. The powerbanks auto-shutoff like they are designed to do when device current draw is really low. Suggestion: digital scale power input COULD be designed to increase current drain on the USB port to keep powerbanks from disabling themselves, yet without increasing current drain when on AAA battery power. That would solve powerbank "problem" without negatively affecting battery life.

I make custom swaged bullets so accuracy is a very high priority for me. Weighing core and jackets on a beam scale only gives me weight accuracy to within 0.1 grains. This is good but I wanted more accuracy. This scale provides an accuracy of 0.01 grains. For the price point this scale is hard to beat.Pros: The scale will weigh at least for what I’m doing up to 800 grains and I am generally only concerned with weights from 1.00 grains to up to 250.00 grains. This scale does this well. When it turns on it takes a few seconds to “warm up” but then it ready to go. It’s fast and accurate. I’ll weight cores and jackets together to get the exact weight I want and when measuring charges it gives me that little bit of extra accuracy. It’s great because I can use the powder pan from my RCBS scale and zero it out instantly. I don’t have to mess around. For any reloading it’s great!!! It’s easy to use and it will weigh anything in a variety weight standards that are selectable. I have some check weights I use and this scale is right on! If you’re using the metric system it’s great and so is the American standard in grains. It’s small and lightweight and takes of very little space on my bench. Battery life so far is long. I have the original batteries in it and I’ve had it for about a month and a half and use it on a regular basis. The cons: The scale is super sensitive to the slightest variation and if there’s any breeze from a vent or a fan over the pan it’ll throw different numbers at you. Use the cover and close it if you’re experiencing this. It’ll get rid of that outside influence. That is the only negative thing about the scale. It’s manageable and an easy fix. It comes with 2 pans. If you’re using it to weigh powder use your pan from your beam scale because the powder likes to stick to the pan from static.
