- Refer to the pictures on how to find the correct pipe thread size. This regulator has 1-1/16" openings for 3/4" gas pipes. 3/4" IN and 3/4" OUT Female Pipe Thread. The 3/4" gas pipe means interior diameter 3/4" but outside diameter is 1-1/16", refer to the pictures before buying.
- Inlet pressure (CSA rated and Maximum operating): 1/2 PSI (34 mbar).
- Outlet pressure range: 3” - 6” Water Column
- Ambient operating temperature range: 32°F - 225°F (0°C - 107°C).
Attention:
- NOTE: GAS PRESSURE REGURATORS WILL NOT TURN OFF THE FLOW OF GAS.
- The pipe fittings for this regulator are based on NPT pipe threads - dimensions according ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 standards.
- Install the regulator properly with gas flowing as indicated by the arrow on the casting.
- *NOTE - Do not install the regulator too close to the heating equipment or use in very cold environment. Heat or cold can change the resistance of the spring inside the regulator.
How to find the correct pipe thread size
- WARNING: The NPT thread size is NOT referring to the size of the thread itself!
- The plumbing industry standard for the pipe sizes is NOT always as straightforward as measuring the pipe.
- Measuring the pipe will often mislead you into choosing the wrong pipe size.
- The "pipe thread size" is measured and based on the inside of the pipe.
- A lot of people measured the thread / the opening for the thread / outside diameter of the pipe, and thought that was the thread size. It was WRONG.
- The NPT thread is referring to the Interior Diameter of the pipe.

I need to setup a natural gas Hot Plate burner on my backyard for my wife's cooking need in case she does not want to use the kitchen in the home. This regulator fits and works well with my Hot Plate.

Our camp site has a bulk propane tank and we wanted to use it with our GeoPro trailer. We have a 1/2” tee on the tank and a 1/2” line coming out of the trailer. This regulator with a pair of 1/2” NPT to flare male fittings and a 1/2” gas line let us bypass the onboard 3/8” switching regulator going to a pair of 20lb propane tanks, keeping the portable tanks full for when we travel while still ensuring the pressure going into the trailer is at the correct 11-12” wc level while at camp. Cheap insurance to ensure we don’t damage the propane system on the trailer.

Valve works well with extended hose works with many applications. Easy to install. Large plastic knob makes for ease of installation.

This product is exactly what it's supposed to. I have used maxitrol for my pressure regulators for years and they always work well. Just make sure that you have the correct pipe size and order the correct size gas regulator. You will also need a manometer and adjust the pressure to the correct inches of water column.

This is a good product. I opted to replace the propane regulator supplied along with my new LPG optioned Cooktop. I chose this unit given its pressure adjustability (which I didn’t have to change from factory default) and the 3/4” openings vs 1/2” on the old unit. I’m now getting greater column flow and better atomization to the burners resulting in an flame is now fully blue. Previously the tips of the flames were tipped in white occasionally leaving a black mark on the surface of the pan.
