I installed on an old wooden post that previously had a lightweight standard mailbox. I did shore up the base with a little quick concrete just in case as these are on the heavier side..very solid feeling boxes. Absolutely love the rear lock entry. I no longer use the street side side but appreciate the lock option there if i ever need it. It stinks that mailbox theft happens but this offers a bit more peace of mind if you need to leave items out there a couple days etc. I dressed it up with some reflective numbers and letters and some smaller ones for the carrier's benefit on the face...and it's worked out great.

This mailbox in post were as good as advertised. It was easy to put together. It was easy to mount in the ground. It is extremely sturdy and the great size. It's quite secure and I think it was good value for the money. I don't think this is a mailbox that will need to be replaced for at least 30 years.. I imply no guarantee here.

I would’ve gave it 5 stars but it did come with a few dents, nothing major but they are there. No it wasn’t damaged in shipping! Other then that the mailbox is heavy and robust!

This locking mail box allows us to go away for a week and the mail stays secure. We normally ask neighbors but sometimes they are away also. This has a locking front and rear access door and comes with 3 keys. The mailbox is well made and installation was easy with the directions provided. A great choice!

This mailbox is very sturdy and looks very modern. I love that it locks on both the front and the back. We were specifically looking for a mailbox that opens to the back and has an attractive look - which is surprisingly hard to find! This one fits all the criteria we had. We did have to wait for it to come back in stock, and are very glad that we did!

It is a nice mid century modern looking mailbox, very sturdy and large capacity. Wish they had this in a non-locking version. The locking and size has the benefit that we can go away a couple of days and not have to worry about mail hold or asking a neighbor to bring in our mail. Only complaint is the slot for the mail carrier to put in the mail is rather small in comparison to the box so sometimes our magazines or packages get smushed up if we go a day or two without getting the mail. Otherwise, seems to do the job just fine. Easy to install on a standard post.
