The cardboard comprising the retail hang-card packaging had been cut and torn several times, held together only by the sloppy tape job that was mostly holding the knob to the shredded card. I couldn't imagine Amazon would have taken it back in that condition from the previous buyer.But the knob fit my 10+ year old switch, so it's all fine. For a couple bucks, it's a win.
