Haha. It scares my dogs that I might use it. I have never spanked them. But now they don’t run after other dogs. I just slap my leg with it and they stop.

Overall this is built better than I expected, it would be very beneficial if it was about 6 in longer as you have to bend down to use it. I'm only 5 10 and I find that I have to bend over a bit in order to use it for correcting the dog. I do not use this as a striking tool, but rather when I am walking both my dogs, the outside dog tends to want to push the other dog towards me and I use the stick to nudge a light pressure on his shoulder and get his attention to move to the side. So it's more of a guiding stick and for that purpose it works pretty good, it would really be good for somebody who's 5 6 and under this would probably work very well. Just to experiment, I slapped the palm of my hand with it so I knew what to expect, and it does leave quite a stinging behind LOL I do not believe in using something like this to strike the dogs, I use it as a push guide and it works good

Great idea but, not very durable. Had it less than a day and the hand fell off. I would not recommend.

Im training my puppyand he has a lot of energy and he is a sweet little guy.I like this crop cause all l have to do is show it to him and it gets his attention. If he gets too playful l can tap him with it and ge refocuses. Please tap it on your palm or the back ofyoyr hand so you know to use it gently if used for contactvwith your pet.The rubber hand has weight so it can sting so please test it first. My cat loves it he thinks it's a toy.

My trainer recommended I purchase this to aid in helping turn my dog. The stick is sturdy and it does offer a guide when the dog is doing a turn - I use it to align his back end and make him sit straight.

I like the dog training stick but wish the stick was a bit longer. It's short for my size, Im 5'8. I do like how the stick folds for when not in use.
