This worked really nice. The adhesive is strong and I think it will last.Have a couple new razor blades to make your cuts. This stuff will ruin scissors.

I used this on my Vision ceramic grill. It is better than the seal that came with it originally. Clean the surface after removing the old seal and easily apply.

I just replaced the gaskets on my Vision Grill with LavaLock gasket. The adhesive seems very strong, than the felt is thick and dense unlike cheap replacement felt. I’m impressed! There was enough for the base, lid, and cap with almost two feet left over!I haven’t cooked yet, so I’m looking forward to seeing how durable it is. But I’m very happy so far!

With the backing on, I didn’t think it was going to be as pliable as it was. Once the backing came off, it will move in a circle better. The quality is good and I haven’t seen any smoke coming through it on the smoker. Great product

Easy to apply. May be thicker than original seal. Too early to discern adhesion or endurance.

Wanted to give this product some time on my grill before I wrote a review. To the folks saying that the adhesive failed, I’ll tell you that you didn’t clean and prep the surface well enough. This gasket sticks exactly as it should, seals well, and keeps my kamado grill operating as expected.I removed my old gasket carefully with a scraper. I then used a combination of goo gone and degreaser to clean the lid and base surfaces where the new gaskets were to be installed while scrubbing old adhesive with a scotch brite pad.. This process took time and many repeated applications and scrubbings to get all of the old material off. I then cleaned the surfaces with a bucket of water and rag to remove all remnants of the cleaners. I followed this with a cotton cloth and rubbing alcohol to fully prep the surface.I then followed the directions for installing the gasket and cut the excess with a new razor blade in my box cutter knife. I couldn’t pull this gasket off months later without a scraper blade if I tried.Long story short, prep the adhesion surfaces well and this gasket works wonderfully. Very satisfied and will buy again when the time comes.

I got this for my Royal Gourmet smoker. They come with a half inch gap around the whole cooking chamber, which is one big leak. This fit well, went on easy, covered everything snugly, adhered well. Now my smoke is mostly coming out the chimney. It took a couple hours of smoking to really seal. It was good at first, just needed some time to settle to really shape to the BBQ.

I used this product to replace the original gasket on my Vision Grille 18" BBQ. There was more than enough gasket material to replace the top and bottom gaskets, as well as replace the gasket sealing the cast iron top vent. I even had a couple of feet left over. So far the gasket seems to be adhering well, time will tell whether or not there are any issues with respect to that. So far I am very pleased.

Very nice thick gasket - provides a tight seal on the top cap on my Vision Kamado so the cap doens't rotate when opening or closing the vent. Applies and sticks easily on the dome, and good thickness to prevent air leaks. I need to learn to cook again now that I have airflow under control. Hope this is still for sale the next time I need to replace the gasket.

I recently replaced the factory seal on my Vision that lasted approx 1 year. I cook on my egg on average 2x a week. Most of the cooking is 350F-400F grilling with maybe 12 long and slow smokes a year and 12 high temp (600F-700+F) pizza sessions.Prep: I removed the original seal with a razor blade and scraped both mounting surfaces. I then cleaned both surfaces with rubbing alcohol until the paper towels no longer were being discolored. It took quite a bit to get them both fully cleaned.Install: I started on the bottom. I unrolled and unpeeled approx 2 feet of gasket. I firmly pushed a 2-3" inch section down then worked counterclockwise using my left hand to center the gasket on the face and using my right hand to hold the roll of gasket. Once about half the gasket was attached I peeled another foot or so off and continued the process until the entire bowl was done. I cut the gasket from the roll leaving about an inch overlap. I then cut the gasket back until it perfectly mated to the other end. I then repeated the same process on the lid. I closed the lid and let it sit for the day.The gasket is performing decently. I have grilled on it close to ten times since installing and the seal stays in place and seals well. I did get the grill up to 700F for pizzas one night and the seal did start to burn/brown and harden slightly around the inside of the gasket. It is tolerating the high heat better than the factory seal but I'm not sure how many 700F cycles it will handle but I'll be sure to find out!Note: The adhesive backing is painful to get started again. It is factory started which is nice but when you make your first cut from the roll I'd suggest peeling the backing past the cut and folding it back so you don't have to deal with trying to get it started again. There looks to be enough material to redo the top vent and possibly the bottom vent insert.
