I have field rats getting into my livestock feed, so I wanted to try these. I am fully satisfied that they are large and strong enough to kill a rat. They are so easy to set, no fumbling or danger of getting your fingers snapped like with old school traps, thee you just bait and click. I put two out with cheese and two out with peanut butter, no we wait.

These are a lot easier to set than the old steel spring trap. No risk of catching a finger. The bait cup is easy to fill without risk of injury. The rodent cannot reach the bait without stepping on the release lever. The spring is strong and should result in a humane end to your rodent problem. Releasing the trap is done on the opposite end to prevent having to touch the rodent.

I've claimed victory in less than 4 hours from the time I set these traps up.Hopefully, a long-lasting victory. But I reset the trap in the same spot just in case.I used peanut butter in the little removable cup.It was easy to dispose of, really just like opening a spring clamp.

The traps are well made. The trigger plate is very light. I like the fact that the bait station is set below the trigger plate, forcing the rat to put weight on the latter to reach the bait.As the rats in these parts have PhDs in escapology, and have learned to avoid all of my other contraptions, time will tell whether these new ones will fool them.

These are big and they work well. Settings the trigger can be a bit tricky. Mine had to be messed with to get it to latch. These will work just fine!
