I love this thing, it is extremely sturdy, screws together very nicely (even comes with an Allen wrench) and doesn’t wobble around or constantly need readjusting like my hoop frame did.It looks to be made of oak wood and is very precisely cut and drilled! It is economical because it doesn’t come with a fabric cover but I used a fresh, very stretchy self holding medical “wrap” and that works amazingly well and nothing pokes through so long as I put at least three or four layers around it. And the wrap doesn’t shift. I think I will be able to stretch it enough to take it off and put it back on again. I am never going back to a hoop ever!!This frame results in a canvas that is as tight as a drum and stays that way!The frame is not very large, but is the perfect size for a dollhouse carpet I’m making for my grandkids!

I use this for all of my punch needle projects! The only thing is I nick my fingers sometimes and boy it doesn’t feel good!

This frame is a great addition to my crafting tools. It holds my fabric tightly in place, making it easier to punch needles or hook rugs without any slipping. The gripper strips work really well, and I love that it keeps everything steady while I work. The size is just right, not too big or too small, so it fits on my table nicely. It’s also easy to set up and take down, which saves me time. This frame really helps me enjoy my projects more.

I’ve recently started learning punch needle techniques, and in most of the videos I’ve seen, the person was using one of these gripper strip frames. I’m starting out with small projects, so the 10” size is perfect. It only took a few minutes to assemble. The sides are numbered, and the instructions are easy to follow. I really appreciate that the gripper strips come already stapled into place. The wood of the frame is sanded, but unfinished, and the whole thing is quite a bit heavier than hoops or plastic frames. I was a little concerned about using the frame on my lap, but the sides measure about 3 ¼“ deep without the gripper strips, so there is plenty of room to work without poking anything underneath. I tried several different types of fabric, including monks cloth and one with a higher thread count, and both stayed in place until they were released by me. This sturdy little frame is a nice addition to my punch needle supplies.
