These harmful elements cause abrasive wear to the polished shaft, upper seal & bushing. KYB Strut Boot Kits prevent these contaminants from entering the strut by covering the entire strut shaft in a highly durable plastic bellows. This can easily extend the life of the strut. The KYB Strut Boot Kit includes a poly foam travel-limiting bumper. It’s designed to protect the strut from bottoming out and protects other components from extreme movement damage.

I bought this boot along with KYB rear structs (339237+339236) to replace the original struts on my Toyota Venza.the bump stop on these SB104 does not fit the strut mount plate from the original Toyota strut. It is about 1-2cm wider, I had to cut around the top of the bump stop foam in order for it to seat properly with the strut mount.the front SB102 works fine.

I've been a mechanic for almost 47 years, most reviews are written by DIY folks. First this will not improve ride quality. It is a splash shield & bump stop for your strut. They are universal but different part numbers for each vehicle & front & rear. Use Rock auto or KYB to confirm part number not Amazon. Two pieces fit together so the splash shield hangs from the bump stop. Bump stop fits tightly on strut shaft. The large part of bump stop fits into the shield. Use dish soap or a rubber lube. Be very careful if you are installing new strut with spring compressor as spring is under a lot of pressure. You can reuse your old bellows but usually they're destroyed. These will not last as long as orginal parts but also much less costly. Stay safe DIY folks...

This product was for my car then it was NOT and again it was. I installed this part on the rear shocks of a 2003 Altima. The manufacturer says these are for the front. Amazon said they were for the back and then said they DO NAT FIT MY CAR. Since I purchased both part number SB104 and SB108 I was abel to determine where and how to install them. The bumper needs to be placed like in the amazon image with the wide part up. The bellow/boot needs to be placed onto the shock past the lip of the shock, it will lock into place. once everything is assembled they work great. Again these were installed on the rear shocks of a nissan Altima 2003. Attached is the manufacture's catalog data. 4 stars for the confusion by the manufacturer.

These are nowhere near the quality of the Toyota OEM parts. They are a more generic fit, and may or may not work. I returned mine and used Toyota mounts and bellows with the KYB struts. The strut boots (bellows) are too short, and of a less pliable material. The shock bumpers are very low quality.

I have no idea what other reviewers are talking about that they do not fit the KYB struts (KYB 334381 Excel-G OE Replacement Strut and KYB 334380 Excel-G OE Replacement Strut). Last weekend put some new struts in and then these fit exactly like they are supposed to. You just push them in and bam! Fit like a glove. This is one of those times I was glad I did not listen to the majority of the reviewers. Hope this helps others.

The product was okay, it just did not fit the Sensen shocks, but they do seem to work. I guess if I purchased KYB shocks it would have fit these exactly, but then again that is $200 more for the shocks than the Sensen.

First of all, I'm not a mechanic, but I do my fair share of maintenance on my own car, so this review is purely from my own experiences. Also, I listed the different years for the title only because those cars are what KYB's catalog says the struts (KYB 334151 and 334150) fit. After reading reviews with many people saying that the boot (KYB SB104) did not fit the struts (KYB 334151 and 334150) for my car (1999 Nissan Maxima GLE), I was really hesitant about making the purchase. I even went so far as to directly e-mail KYB informing of the reviews and asking for their confirmation that the boot did indeed fit the strut. Here's how the conversation went:To Whom it May Concern,I'm looking to purchase some KYB GR-2/Excel G's off of Amazon (Manufacturer #: 334151 - Front Left Strut) and the SB104 Boot (the one that KYB suggests for the strut), but after reading reviews, many people have stated that the SB104 Boot doesn't fit on the 334151 strut. I was wondering if you guys could clarify the anomaly for me.Thanks for your time and have a good day.Regards,(insert my name here)---------This was the reply from KYB tech support------------------------------------(insert my name here),The struts 334151 will work with SB104, we had never had an issue with them.Thank youTech Support----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Granted, their reply didn't do a whole lot to assuage my fears, but I ended making the purchase for 2 boots anyways. When the boots arrived, the bump-stop (thick beige rubber part) was inserted all the way into the boot (for shipping purposes, I assume), so I had to jimmy/rotate/pull it out of the black boot part - and it does indeed come out with some force.Note: be careful when taking it out though, the boot is hardy, but it's still breakable if handled without some finesse. From what I can recall, I'm pretty sure the instructions noted that the bottommost ring of the bump-stop was supposed to fit into the topmost ring of the boot, so that's what I ended up doing (by jimmy-ing it back on); it fit like a charm and the spacing was just right to have the boot cover the part of the strut that needed protecting.I tried fitting the boot onto the strut (KYB 334151) and the diameter of the bump stop was indeed slightly smaller than the diameter of the shock, but it needs to be forced on with some elbow grease. My assumption here is that the bump stop's diameter is smaller than the strut's because it needs to have a snug hold on it to prevent it from moving as the strut dampens everything between the road and the car.In conclusion, I'm kinda bummed that these only have a 3 star rating on Amazon, but that may just be due to the KYB catalog (or amazon) saying it fits other struts when it really doesn't.It gets 5 stars from me though. After an alignment and new brake pads/rotors on all 4 corners, my 14 year old car rides like new now, WOOHOO.The Endtl;dr - CONFIRMED IT DOES FIT: KYB 334151 and 334150 - Just read the instructions and use enough force on it without breaking it. PUSH it onto the strut.

I used these for my 2006 Maxima when I replaced the struts with KYB's. 334336 and 334337 are the part numbers of the KYB shocks that I installed them on. I was a little worried about the fit because of other reviews, but I checked the catalog on KYB's website and it said that these are the correct ones. They work great and are a good fit. They do not come as pictured. They come like the customer photo that has a separate boot and the part that keeps it from bottoming out. When you get it, it is put together wrong to make it smaller for shipping.
