Was using this on a kiln for a tempering furnace. Errored out around 1450°F but I don't know if it was the thermocouple or the controller it was connected to.

This sensor is built to use almost the full range of a type-k thermocouple. The welded wires of the thermocouple are 3.25mm thick and have a length of 20mm (~0.78-inches). The sensor is insulated with ceramic sections that are 25 or 30mm long. By removing some of the sections and adjusting the thermocouple length in the unit’s terminal block you can shorten the thermocouple. The sensor comes with a set of leads to attach to the terminal block that are built with high temperature insulation and a wire mesh covering. The positive and negative terminals are nicely marked on the terminal block, leads, and the connector. In use, the sensor was accurate. This unit is a beefy thermocouple. Often a type-k thermocouple comes with a housing or leads that limit the potential range of the unit. This is not the case with this sensor.

K-Type Thermocouple Block Ceramic Kiln Insulator Kiln Probe Measuring Temperature 32 to 2372 °F(0 to 1300 °C) 3.3 FT Wire Extension F/C 11G High ToolFirst impressions: Nice ceramic kiln probe for sensing temperatures inside kilns. This is to be used with a meter to read the temps. The sensor is well made and is ready to plug into your meter.Installation/setup: Install into your hot box to provide information to your meter.Final thoughts: The kiln probe is nice and long and the plug wire is long enough to keep my meter out of the heat range. The probe i s easily used, just hook it up with the wire and plug into your Digital Thermometer. I got this to use in my raku kiln, making sure I reach the minimum temps I need to achieve the effects I want. I like this and I’m glad I got it.⭐️1 star - I don't recommend it at all, poor quality.⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - I don't recommend it, it has multiple faults, or a very high price.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - It's passable, It has some faults but the quality is ok for what it is.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Product quite acceptable, it does what it promises.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Product that I totally recommend.

The temperature prong was about 3 inches too long so I had to cut it off and trim it. Also, I had to use the old block because the new block was smaller and diameter. But then when I converted it, everything worked fine.
