As usual Kohler over designed something to make it cheaper. The set screws won't stay tight and the plastic insert strips out causing the handle to just spin. After tightening several time the tiny set screw rounds out and won't tighten or come out, then you have to drill it out and buy a whole new handle.

Just the way I need it for my shower its seems a brand new shower again. Kinda expensive but worth it. Very fast delivery.

This is a beautiful handle. Fairly heavy. However, it did not fit our shower set up that previously had a knob. I’ve attached a picture for reference. The handle simply isn’t deep enough to take the long post that the knob uses to attach. Perfect replacement for my old handle. Took me 5 minutes to install. Make sure you have an allen wrench to tighten it though! P. S. Stay away from universal faucet replacements. Handle broke off after only 3 uses.

The little black plastic bushing that Kohler used to attach the handle was probably a poor design in the first place. But if the bushing gets broken or worn, then this will fix it.
