I didn't get to measure once, before it was broken. I had handed the reel to my wife while I held the end of the tape. There was hardly a tug when "pow", the wind-up handle snapped in two. She did not realize that the handle is hinged and needed to be "unlocked" before use. You get what you pay for.

Great price for a long tape reel. The frame is relatively light weight and will break if dropped.

The handle that you use to wind up the tape broke the first time I used it. I fixed it with a screw and a nut, not the most convenient but it worked. The second time I used it the handle broke in a new place. I could still use the handle but had to keep it in my pocket until I needed it. Now I have to worry about losing it because it is not attached to the tape measure in any way. I should have spent more and got something better.

I was looking for one at another store and found one but it was 15.00 more than the one I brought. The only issue was it was set up for metric.

The printing on the tape fades easily. I got the tape wet and some numbers rubbed right off. Kinda makes it hard to measure something if the numbers are not legible

I ordered this tape to assist in establishing the lot lines for a new home under construction. It arrived quickly, the tape is durable and very easy to use. It is easy to lay out & rewind, and the measurement markings are easy to read, even at some distance. It's a wonderful product I'll use over and over again. Highly recommended!!

This is the second order for this measuring tape. It is used by a local Dressage Horse Organization for setting up dressage arenas in preparation for their shows. The environment is dirt, mud, sand, etc. These units have held up well in the past, so when we decided we needed more - we knew just what to order. (more units so we could set up two rings twice as fast) The older models are still in great condition and have held up well in a challenging environment. Please note however, these are used for approx. 6 hours twice a year - so not as much as a contractor would potentially use them. For the price - good overall quality and durability.
