I love this board and the sturdiness it provides. I'm a new quiller and this makes it so much easier

This form makes the most gorgeous perfect flowers in quilling. It makes the skinny leaves that I like so much for my designs. Easy to use and durable enough to last for years of use. Very happy!

Très bien pour la créativité pour le quilling. Un plus avec 2 embouts fendus. Il pourrait y en avoir plus.

Item arrived as described, and in a timely manner. The built quality is superb and the storage box is wisely designed to hold the pins. Its quick and handy to use. Loved it completely. Must have product for all the quilled artists.

It is smaller than I expected. Be prepared to watch lots of YouTube videos to learn how to use it. Pegs do not stay seated, very well, which can be frustrating when makeing repetitive patterns .

I am still learning paper quilling and came across this tool. It is very versatile, easy to use, and you can make all kind of cool things on it. Highly recommend if you want to learn new forms of paper quilling other than rolling paper.

I had the smaller, pink board without the parallel groove 'thing' on the bottom but the day that I realized that the split peg was to help hold the paper in place when you begin to wrap (I'm slow, I know) anyway, it's an extremely helpful part - and the day I found it, I lost it!! (editor's update: I since found that split peg, so now I have 2 kits!) But I was really glad to get this one, both because of the extra tool andbecause this kit has more pegs, including TWO split ones.As other reviewers have said: this board has significantly smaller diameter holes & pegs, so you can't mix sets necessarily if you have an old one. And these very narrow pegs are a bit fiddly - everything is very close together. But that's great if you're working with very narrow quilling strips and/or are willing to fiddle with the strips in order to get loops with narrow profiles. As another reviewer mentioned, I wish the board came with some instructions...most quilling books explain how to use the husking board, but I've never seen how you use those parallel grooves. The packaging does come with a picture - I guess you can create a fan-like effect (glue all the parallel groove papers to a top strip, then gather the opposite, loose ends together & glue them....makes a fan with a flat top, if that makes sense). There are probably lots more things you can do with this, I'm not good at figuring things like that out, so I regret not getting instructions - but I'm sure there are some online - JUYA quilling stuff is still the best!

Juya is the only brand that I could find here on amazon as well as on chinese online sites that carries this combo quilling board which includes both the pinhole grid and the horizontal slotted grid below. Usually, you find the horizontal slotted grid on the handle of quilling combs from China. I preferred it in this combo. Compared to other brands that only feature pinhole grid which have 2 mm diameter pins: the pinholes/pins on this board are thinner (slightly more than a 1 mm diameter ) -- this is an advantage when using the arched section of the grid where the holes are very close to each other. However, the total area and number of holes is basically the same as other brands (just off by a 1 mm or less since the pins are thinner. As described this one has a total of 30 stainless steel pins (includes 2 pins are slotted copper to anchor the starter end of your quilling paper) vs. other brands (which feature only the pinhole grid) which provide only 20 pins ( inclusive of 1 slotted copper pin). If you intend to have 2 quilling boards to allow glue on a quilled paper to dry on one board while immediately quilling on another, it is best to buy them from 1 brand as the pinsmay be different in diameter from 1 manufacturer to another -- which may or may not affect the dimensions of your quilled pieces. While quilling, the pins stay in place.By the way, this was packaged in a decent professional looking slim white box with a handful of photos in the back to illustrate ways to use the board. A nice touch if you were to give this as a gift.Spend a few extra dollars to get quilling boards with an integrated compartment to store the pins such as this one. It's worth it.My main critique of this is the price. Instead of $8-9, I think these things should just cost $ 5-6. Also, I hope they come up with a LONGER pinholegrid (i.e., a wider board ) so one can create longer quilled pieces.
