Compared to paddles without any grit, this one does a nice job of generating additional spin when going for top spin or slice shots. You can feel the difference. It also feels quite powerful compared to some lower end paddles, and combining these two properties I can hit some nice hard top spin drives on the court. One downside is it feels a bit heavy at 16mm thickness, so if you still want the power and spin but are worried about handling the paddle at the kitchen for hands battles, I'd recommend going down to a 14mm model for a better balance.Overall, worth the price if you're looking for a very high end pickleball paddle to take your game to the next level.

This paddle transformed my game. Perfect compromise of control and power and balance and weight. Paddle arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Couldn't believe my luck to get a top paddle at such a good price.

Moving up from an intermediate player to advanced player not only takes practice, but a great paddle. After trying a few paddles from a local store I know the Joola Hyperion had the feel and control I wanted in my game. Since Joola recently released their 3rd generation of paddles, this 2nd generation paddle dropped significantly in price and made it a GREAT value.

I am very disappointed with this Joola Hyperion paddle. I started playing pb about four years ago , am intermediate level, and play four to five times a week. I’ve been using a couple Gamma paddles and have been happy with them until one delaminated (probably from being left in my car too long in cold weather). I decided I’d upgrade and get this Joola Hyperion because of the hype around it. Turns out that was a mistake. The first time I used it, fresh out of the packaging, I thought I had inadvertently picked up my old delaminated paddle. The ball came off it with a clunk and barely made it to the net. I played with it for a while only to find it continued that hollow clunk and required a lot of muscle to get it over the net with any speed. I switched back to my other Gamma. I used it off and on for a few weeks thinking I might adjust to it, but nothing changed—still the hollow clunk, very little power, no notable sweet spot, and generally poor response. Finally I was playing a couple hours with my Gamma, which performed very well, then switched to the Hyperion for another try My first serve clunked off the paddle and to the side. My return shots could barely make it to the net unless I put a lot of muscle behind it. With that, I decided I’d had enough. I was planning to return it only to find I had missed the Amazon return window by four days. So now I am stuck with an expensive mistake that I probably will not use again. My advice: Caveat emptor, stay away from this product or be prepared to return it right away.

This is such a good paddle for Intermediate and advanced players. Very good performance. But I have some issues with durability. This is my 3rd time purchase. Overall good.

So I have only been playing about a year of pickleball. I have been using some paddles my wife had bought and they were cheap, but worked. I have a tendency to always spin the ball when I play. I wanted to spin it more, but with the cheap paddles, I was working them to their max. I bought my wife a better paddle as we were to be in a tournament. I played with her paddle and it is nice, I like the differences, so I started looking for a paddle for me, I came across the reviews on this one. It is pricey, but worth it. The reaction of the ball to the paddle is amazing. It is grips, and has a bigger sweet spot like I would have on a tennis racket. I was very impressed. I even had some of my spins back up the ball on a dink, which I was never able to do with the cheap paddles. Well worth the money, it is quality, it is so much better than I thought it might be. Great product. My wife hates my serves, spins and returns now hahahahahaha

This paddle has great control, and a nice snap when you hit the sweet spot. My previous paddles have had a dead spot near the very top of the paddle. This one does not.The most expensive paddle I have ever bought, but well worth it.

There are a lot of paddle options out there and I'm always looking at other people's paddles with green eyes. But this is my favorite paddle I've ever played with. It has power, it is accurate, it's hard to break! It took me no time at all to get used to it and it has amazing touch. I bought myself a second one when it went on sale before Christmas. 😍It has a very grippy surface and is decently heavy. The Vision is lighter but I wanted more power so I'm happy with the weight. It doesn't bother my wrist like some of the really heavy paddles do.
