Bought two I had a mechanic friend install the first . It failed . Burned itself up in 3 days . I next went to a professional shop with A+ credentials . This one lasted two days before major failure . Junk . In the whole picture I promised to make this work before the sale to buyer . I obviously couldn't sell the car because of this products absolute failure . I'm now out of money and can't ever sell the car . Or at least under my name and my code of morals .

I thought it broke because because the remote would not let me disconnect it. I had to open the hood and manually push the disconnect button. Then I read the instructions. The remote will not let you disconect it if it is above a 13.3v just incase you are driving down the road and someone presed the remote off button. It workes gerat for my pickup truck. But I have to reset my radio and clock each time I use it. But if you only use it for voltage drop so your battery dosn't go dead, In the airport parking lot or wherever you left your car It will work for you.

instructions are lacking, took 2 tries to install correctly (the ground needs to pass THROUGH the 2 copper tabs, connect battery to 1 tab the other tab to vehicle ground; be mindful of the direction of ground: with tabs facing up left tab to battery right tab to ground. I found out the kill switch automatically kicks in after about a minute after you turn on. This is good because if I forget to click 'off' the kill switch 'activates' on it's own. Since cars don't need a battery to run as long as the alternator is good, I can't tell if the unit is charging the battery when engine is running but kill switch is 'activated'; perhaps seller can reply to let me know. Otherwise, do I need to click 'on' a few times while I'm driving to get a minute's worth of charge? Also, because the kill switch turns off power to the car, the car's clock is reset.

Installed it around May of this year in hopes to help with a slight parasitic draw, but just a couple weeks ago I had picked up a new battery and alternator and reconnected it, and now it doesn’t work at all and even caused it not to allow the new battery to charge.

I don’t drive very often, about 3 times per month, so my vehicle sits for long periods of time. The alarm system slowly drains my battery. I need a solution other than disconnecting the battery or disconnecting the alarm. This switch works exactly as advertised and was very easy to install. Plus the remote control is great because I don’t have to lift the hood every time I need to turn on/off the battery.

I bought this to work around a battery drain problem that otherwise would have cost several thousand dollars to fix on my 11 year old VW Jetta TDI. Works as advertised. Attached to negative side of battery, the default setup out of the box works. Didn't have to preprogram. Good thing because the print on the instruction sheet is very very small. Depending on my results over time, I might have to switch it to positive, but that looks doable. Rather than hack my car's negative cable to crimp on the eye, I bought a heavy gauge ground wire to replace my negative battery cable for about $15 from a parts store (there's one on Amazon at https://amzn.to/443X8rG).

I use this as a safeguard to theft. So easy to install. I have my cables attached to the side posts so I had to lengthen the copper plates. Easy to do , I just crushed pieces of copper water pipe, drilled new holes and attached all the cables to the relay and attached a new clamp on the positive top post for power cable from the relay. Thought I would post these pictures for someone who also has side posts .Great product and works flawlessly, would have given five star rating but the thing that made me give four stars was I wish they would have included the components necessary for side post installation but was not hard to modify so overall very happy.
