Just get 'em. You need a spare or two anyway.

They will connect two ends of most 12 speed chain because the inner width of 9 thru 12 speed chains is all the same (11/128") and the plates are thin. However, the outer width of a 12 speed chain needs to be less than about 5.3 mm to shift properly. These Missing Links are about 5.7 mm (11 speed) - nearly 0.5 mm too wide for 12 speed! You may get away with them on some 12 speed drivetrains, but likely with noise and chain jumping around. when the outer plates catch the next cog on your cassette. They should work for most 10 and 11 speed drivetrains IF you can get them closed. The ones I received were so tight that they could not be closed even with chain pliers. The inner width of these links is too narrow to fit all the 10 and 11 speed chains I have (KMC and SRAM).So, for me, they were 100% useless.

I think they will work on any brand of 12 speed chain.

Haven’t put too many miles on these but so far they have been nice. Used one and no problems, got a backup in my pouch for emergencies

I got these to put in my pack for emergencies, they fit my 12 speed chain perfectly. I've only had to use them once and it's a good price for an emergency or spare item to keep in your pack, I highly recommend these.

Excellent value and the links work perfectly! They’re great to have in my bike bag in case of a broken chain when trail riding.
