Why Siliphos?

  • Siliphos is a water treatment compound, Polyphosphate, which originates from the milk thistle seed.
  • Siliphos prevent ‘brown’ or ‘red’ water; eliminates hardness scaling.
  • It also stops corrosion of plumbing and bathroom fixtures.
  • All components used in Siliphos are pure food-grade materials.
  • Siliphos are colorless, tasteless, and odorless in the concentrations recommended for treatment.
  • Siliphos form a thin protective layer on the inside of pipes.

3

High-quality Materials

WSP Series utilizes 316L food-grade stainless steel and has passed the explosion-proof test over 500 psi pressure and the water hammer test over 100,000 times.

4

Prolong Service Lives of Your Appliances

WSP Series is your reliable choice of pre-filters. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners, water filtration, and expensive appliances.

5

Easy Installation and Maintenance

The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount, and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form a hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush, and/or soak it in vinegar.

Filtration Guideline

The WSP spin-down sediment filter comes with a variety of options in micron size.

Smaller microns allow less through, but to get most life and efficiency out of your filters it’s important to only go as small as you need. Differences in water quality and your water pressure affect the performance of the WSP.

Please avoid the mistake of using 'fine' filters for 'rough' water and causing the filters to clog sooner than expected.

Use multi-stage filters to achieve one of the best filtering results and longer cartridge life.

This is my second filter from iSpring. I am very pleased with the quality of the product and how well it works. When I received the filter with Siliphos, I noticed that there was fine powder in the box and discovered that one of the Siliphos balls had broken. I contacted customer service to make sure it was okay to use the filter, and spoke with Sean. After telling me that it was fine, he offered to send me a replacement filter free of charge, which he did.I highly recommend iSpring products, they work well, are relatively inexpensive, are very well built, and they have outstanding customer support!

I purchased the WSP-50SL. Great addition. You can taste and smell the difference as soon as you install it. I also purchased two [Push fit 3/4 inch x 1 inch], one on each side of the spin down sediment filter.Even though they recommend putting the filter as the first stage, I installed my spin down filter “after” the 3 stage whole house filter. I figure it is a final stage filter (50 micron) I can clean easily and notice when too much debris is getting through the 3 stage filter, while will indicate that the filters need replacing. Easy install.

My well water had a light red hue and occasionally smelled of iron. So I bought the ISpring 50 filter with Siliphos to see if it would remove the colour and smell. Yup it did.The first package came with an empty filter and no Siliphos balls. I contacted Spring and Julius was kind enough to send me a new filter, this time with the siliphos balls. Thanks Julius.Install was easy. I used shark bite 3/4" fittings that I attached to the filter with plumbing goop and not teflon tape. It just works better and, no leaks. Cut the 3/4" pex just after the valve from the pressure tank. Slid the fittings onto the pipe and done. So far only a small sign of dirt being captured by the filter. Nice to see it outside of my water glass. Installed for a week so early days, but good experience with customer support and no more red colour to the water and no smell. Pretty happy as my latest water test came back today: the water is 0 bacteria of any kind and the water coming from my tap is clear.

We bought and installed this filter about seven years ago. We use it to protect our larger, disposable filters. It’s easy to clean and works well. Recently, we misplaced the wrench that came with the unit. We emailed iSpring, offering to pay for a new wrench. Although it was years after our purchase, iSpring customer service quickly shipped us a replacement wrench for free!

I have a well system and purchased a WSP50SL-ARJ-BP siliphos whole house filter and began to lose flow rate. I contacted iSpringfilter support and explained my situation. My support representative was Nick. Who is exceptional in his product knowledge and determined that the water system needed a 100 micron filter. He explained the 50 micron filter screen was to fine and trapping well sediment creating a buildup on the filter screen; in which, the automated flushing system would not be able remove. He was confident the issue would be resolved with the 100 micron filter and was sending a replacement filter free of charge. That’s what I call customer service. Shout out to Nick, thank you for understanding the customer situation and providing exceptional product knowledge. I highly recommend iSpringfilter products for your water treatment systems.

On catchment, and was looking for a solution to deal with premature filter failure. Purchased the 50 micron variant. Solid little unit, and was easy to install. Only issue is the mounting bracket; doesn't completely lock in the filter housing. Would recommend pipe dope instead of Teflon tape to ensure no leaks at 1" mpt's.

I was a little skeptical when I first received this product and installed it ahead of a 3-stage filtration system & UV-light treatment tube, but after a month of use I am impressed with how well this filter works! I made sure to properly tighten & seal connections to prevent leaks, based on other reviewers’ experiences. It does a great job of filtering out sediment and other crap from our well water, and it is very easy to clean.Because of its smaller size, I clean it once a week to ensure best performance and proper water pressure. We have a 1-inch water line and it does handle volume quite well as long as its kept clean. Cleaning takes about 10 minutes total, as I use an old soft-bristled toothbrush and clean water in a bucket to clean it on-site, and the total time includes time to de-pressurize the supply line. This product is very well built and easy to service; I highly recommend it to anyone with a well or questionable water supply. Just be prepared to clean it every 1-2 weeks, depending upon your water quality; but in spite of this, it is worth it when you see how much clearer your water will be.

This is a surprisingly "beefy" little unit - heavy duty glass container with heavy brass top and well constructed filter which is fairly easy to clean. Simple and straight-forward installation which was quite easy (they even provided some Teflon Tape!). Overall, I'm very impressed with this unit so far and will buy another for my camp house assuming I've encountered no problems after 3 months constant use (only been 40 days since I installed this). I installed this unit ahead of my cartridge filters and there is no doubt in my mind that it will significantly extend their life based on the amount of contaminants/sediment it has already prevented from reaching them - UGH!!!. I purchased the unit with the "Siliphos" filter because I have EXTREMELY hard water and the "Siliphos balls" inside the filter are supposed to help reduce hardness. I can't honestly say just yet how effective they are in reducing hardness and scale because I believe this might take some time to truly be effective. I'll update this aspect of my review after 90 days or so use.My only complaint with this unit is that I wish a mounting bracket were included or at least available for purchase to support it. There's no issue if you are installing it in rigid piping of any kind that is properly supported on either side of this unit BUT if that is not the case and one or both sides are connected to flex piping, the installation doesn't appear as neat and professional. I've not experienced any leaks so far, but it is a concern in the back of my mind over time as the piping is already sagging and I'm trying to determine the best way to support it (ie; can't strap pipe directly to the wall because you need room around the filter to be able to use the supplied wrench to remove the filter canister. I'll add some photos of my solution for this (assuming I find one).
