Installation of our InSinkErator garbage disposer was less complicated using this rubber seal. Putty is messy and it oozes out of the edges, so it is hard to know if you have the proper amount for a water tight seal. This rubber seal takes the mess and the guess work out of the installation.

I decided not to use the new drain that came with the new disposal for now. If I have issues later maybe I'll have to use itIt looks thicker on Amazon but it's a very thin gasket.I felt it was better to buy the gasket instead of buying plumbers putty and then only using a few drops of it and having the rest of it sit for years in my garage.

This seal does what it says it will do, and it works well without leaks and was an easy installation. No mess or cleanup from putty, etc.

It does everything it promises to do. Keeps the water where I want the water, and keeps the water from going where I don't want it go. Only a fool wouldn't use this fine product.

Was consisitently getting leaks using plumbers putty a few days install, and then reapplying and reinstalling. I finally gave this seal a shot and have not had a drop of water leak since, exactly what I needed!
