Very easy to use and assemble. I love that it comes with the adaptor. I use this for my softbox lighting for my photo booth. Great quality!

I wanted to like this iFOOTAGE light stand and so far, so good.First, as I mentioned, the price tag is a bit steep--but I think that's for a reason. iFootage went to efforts to make sure this was a light stand (or camera stand) that you can count on to stay up right, especially in tight quarters. The base is big and heavy...which makes it more of a home studio tool than something you'll want to be carrying to a lot of on location video or photography jobs. Still, that heft and width means it doesn't get all wobbly when you put a light and soft box on top of it and raise it up over six feet. And, as others have said, you don't have to deal with the space generally consumed by tripod legs...so it's easier to snug it up next to your subject. As a bonus, I have an iFOOTAGE monopod and the included instructions suggest that I can unscrew the base of this light stand and attach it to the bottom of my iFootage monopod for even greater stability. (I haven't tried this yet, but I'm looking forward to investigating it.)All in all, another solid piece of gear from iFOOTAGE.

Great light stand replacement for a cstand. It works like one and take up way less room. Just put a few lbs of sand bags on it and it will not fall. The base is sturdy and it goes up pretty high. About 8ft almost with a light attached to it. Good for small studio lights inside the bedroom.

It fits where sometimes a regular lightstand won't. Less trip hazard. Well-designed. Heavy steady floor plate. Easy to adjust up and down. Grab a 3/8 f to 1/4 m adapter, and a small ball head; you now can it with use about any typical film item. We also use its two smaller versions, the 200 and the 300.
