Lasts for an extremely long time without replacement

This is my first foray into using hardened nozzles, mostly because I wanted to use some carbon fiber filled filament that I picked up for a couple projects. I did not love the fact that there were only 2 flats machined on for a wrench. I usually use a Crescent wrench to hold the heater block and a small socket wrench to loosen and tighten the nozzle. Here I had to go find an appropriately sized wrench because the rounded edges didn't fit in the socket. The nozzles screwed in easily to a Prusa MK3s and appear to be sized as stated as print quality is overall good once I used a temp tower to fine tune temperature settings (steel nozzles are different than brass!). 4 stars.

I don’t have much room around my nozzle area so I rely on one adjustable wrench plus a nut driver and slice engineering torque wrench for install.Because this uses ROUNDED sides with two flats that makes install EXTREMELY difficult. It should just use a hex-head. Having to rearrange my wrenches every quarter turn is extremely frustrating and makes install take forever. That alone negates any possibility of improved thermal performance or wear resistance because alternatives exist that are easier to install.

I think these have a good price point. I matched them up with another brands V6 adapter and they started leaking after a few uses. I could have been the adapter threads that were not long enough because I used a different adapter and different nozzle and I’ve had no issues so I assume the block dimensions are accurate. However, with the adapter inserted all the way into the block, the nozzle still screwed in all the way, so I believe it’s not quite long enough to meet up securely with the adapter in the threads as there is supposed to be a 2 mm gap between the top of the nozzle and the block.I will try one of these with a different brand of V6 adapter and see if they perform better and will update this review and rating if so.The Amazon photo gallery only intermittently will populate with all of the photos on your phone so I could not attach one this time to demonstrate the leakage.
