The Horiba 30005433 OCMA-550 oil-content monitor and analyzer measures oil concentration on components and concentrations of oil adhered to solids, including soil and food. The spectrophotometer utilizes solvent extraction and NDIR (non-dispersive infrared sensor) analysis measurement principle. Automated testing eases use and reduces operator error. Substances are extracted from sample water and solvent using infrared absorption of 3.4 to 3.5μm. The analyzer uses S-316 extraction solvent (sold separately) and has sample water-to-solvent ratio of 2:1. Test results can be expressed as mg/L, mg/kg, mg/g, and mg/PC. The spectrophotometer has a 3.5" LCD that displays test results, and a USB memory-stick port data for transfer to a PC for analysis or long-term records retention. The instrument meets ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 specifications.
