With many reviews having concerns of no name brand sensors, this Hitachi was the way to go based on good reviews and results. Made in Taiwan. Easy to install if you watch a video first to know your location, tool size, and how to unlock the unusual wire connector. You will be working blind for the most part. I stood on an elevation from the front, swapped it out in five minutes.

These are OEM and well worth the price. The knock offs are thermally unstable after a while. I have had these in my car for six months and not a hiccup.

My 2005 Nissan Frontier 4.0 would sometimes have a problem starting after being driven a short ways. Finally the check engine light came on indicating a problem in the Cam Sensor Circuit. Since I wasn’t sure which one I replaced both of them to make sure. They are on the back of the engine so a pain in the butt to change. It appears these ARE the O. E. Sensors and after replacement I cleared the code and so far no more issues. For the price I thought they were well worth it. Hope to get years of service out of them.Yes I believe they are worth the money!

I tried installing on a 2005 infinity qx56. I ordered a second one and tried it. I kept getting P0335 code. I was replacing oem because of faulty O ring. I removed O ring & installed on factory cam sensor and installed and all is working as it should.

These obviously are not the actual OEM part that Nissan/Infiniti sells simply because those are from Japan, but these are from hitachi an aftermarket OEM replacement made in china, they are I’m sure built the same way hopefully using the same materials and accuracy of the electronics but who knows it’s all in the QC, I threw them on my car at a 1/3 of the cost and have no issues ….2500 miles and countingI’d have to recommend them based on my experience with these specific sensors, I can change both of mine out in 15 minutes on the side of the road so I carry a spare set in my trunk (G35)

Driver side Camshaft position sensor (2003 Infiniti G35)This is the original OEM unit. Spend the extra and don't go with cheap no name sensors.

Bought this to replace the cam position sensor on bank 2 of my '06 Murano. Once I installed it and cleared the fault codes the VQ35 is as good as new. It has been almost 2 weeks since and I've put a few hundred kilometers on the odometer with no issues. And now for the tale....I am overseas and decided to place an order for a replacement (i.e. non-Hitachi, non-Bosch) part on another website as they could deliver faster. It arrived, I broke out the socket set, installed it, cleared the codes from the ECU and the engine seemed to work fine. After a few minutes of idling I decided to test the car by driving around the block a few times. The first and second go-arounds went without incident. As I was making my third the engine stalled while making a corner, I lost all hydraulics (yup, out went the steering and brakes) and the instrument cluster lit up like a Christmas tree. After a few what-in-the-world-just-happened seconds I realized what's gone wrong and restarted the engine by pulling the connector from the sensor. It took more turns than normal from the starter before the engine fired back up but once it did I was able to drive back to the garage without the 'Mo going into limp mode.Losing control of the car was disconcerting and fortunately no one was hurt. It is frightening to imagine how bad things could have gotten however had the engine stalled at speed on, say, the highway. It could have easily turned deadly. As it turned out the replacement sensor shorted itself which might have caused the ECU to restart. My advice - buy direct from the dealership or OE from reputable sources. Not only will you be saving yourself a lot of grief, you might be saving lives in the process, including yours.
