Kit worked, this did not solve the issue, but the items were great.

This kit worked well in my Poulan Pro PP4218a. It was necessary to adjust the low/high fuel mixture screws and the throttle screw, which is to be expected. What was not expected was that the air filter did not fit properly. I had to trim it to fit, but even then it wasn't a perfect fit. Overall, I'm pleased that I purchased the kit. I would have given it 5 stars if the air filter fit properly.

Not too difficult to install and started right up. Adjustment required after installation so read up on how proceed with that.

The idle screw does not work correctly, it would never have a near consistent idle. It would barely idle or not at all. I should have done what I knew would work in the first place, rebuild the original, since no one is capable of making a decent carburetor. If you have a Poulan 3416, it will not fit correctly with the throttle linkage bumping against something keeping the trigger from working, for some reason they changed that. I'm 100% confident its the faulty carburetor since the original was rebuilt and works like new.Edit1: don't waste your time with this thing, either rebuild the original or buy a rebuilt. I took it to another small engine mechanic who could not get it to idle correctly. The carburetor would only run on choke, the original carb works great after being rebuilt.Edit2: decided to try a replacement, the second one I recived was worse off than the first. Pulled 50 times, not even one fire. Once again, its not the chainsaw, its this inferior carburetor. Don't waste your time, buy a rebuilt or rebuild the original.

I received this complete set quickly and it appeared to be good quality. I compared the carb to the original one and there was a couple minor differences but nothing that would keep it from working correctly. I installed it and still could not get my chainsaw to run. I have used quite a few of the aftermarket carbs and have never had one to fail. I went back and rechecked everything. No scored cylinders, good spark, fresh premix gas, new fuel filter, and clean spark arrester, I never found anything else wrong. So I blamed the carb. I emailed the seller and they immediately sent me a replacement. I went through the process of installing again. Still no start. I went back and checked everything again hoping to find something wrong that I could fix.Still no luck. I even checked the compression and although it was not great, it was good enough.I have given up on this saw. It was an older cheap saw anyway. This long story is leading up to say that this seller sent me a replacement because I thought his carb was defective. I did respond to him and advised it could not be a carb problem after all. I offered to pay for the second one they sent. They told me not to worry about the replacement. So I am writing this as a positive recommendation for this vendor. I will definitely buy from them again.
