The product arrived promptly and included a cloth bag (drawstring closure) to hold the various adapters/tachometer. The devise and adapters seem well made without any overt quality issues. The instruction pamphlet was graphically laid out and reasonably intuitive. However the infrared red light/tachometer function worked great for a couple of minutes but abruptly discontinued. The other push button functions seem fine, but turning the device off/on, changing the batteries, etc did not revive the critical infrared component. In attempted to contact customer service (both on the included instructions/Amazon web site), one is directed to site that appears to be strictly in Chinese and sales oriented. Nice start but return initiated as no service contact for an English speaker. Appreciate Amazon’s return policy making up for this company’s crummy “service.”

This Tachometer works better than expected, considering what I paid for it. I'm using it to monitor the spindle RPM on my cnc router, and this piece of equipment does the job perfectly.

Is a very affordable tachometer. It is accurate in both the contact and non-contact mode. We compare them against other tachometers that we have and they are reading almost the exact same numbers. If you need to know the exact speed of anything you have that rotates this tachometer should work for you. Just tachometer is affordable and will not break the bank.

This tachometer solved a big question in our shop about 4 geared induction motors running off 1 variable frequency drive. Yes, all 4 motors spin at exactly the same speed. The small variations in RMS caused by the machining variations is not perceptible. At least not within the accuracy of this great little tach. It’s so easy, anyone can use it. Fan speeds, motor RPM, hand drill speeds, anything that turns, this meter can probably measure it.

I got this because I was curious as to what my actual drill press speeds were since when drilling hard metals (such as stainless steel) with (sharp) cobalt bits need to drill slowly with usually water as lubricant, and lots of pressure so you cut without work hardening first. This digital tachometer is fine for the job and I can fine tune the actual RPM for each size drillbit using my Variac variable autotransformer. This digital tachometer works fine both in contact and noncontact mode. The numbers are plenty big; the only problem I had was reading the units because they are very small letters on the digital screen – used my magnifying glass (Amazon). The well illustrated instruction sheet in Chinese and excellent English makes it easy to understand operations and lists the technical specifications including its very wide working limits and tight error ranges. The two 1.5 V AAA batteries provided are easily inserted in the back with a snap open compartment as opposed to competitors that have a non-captive screw (easily lost) closing the compartment. Does not have a memory/datastorage feature so you have to write down your results. In conclusion: recommend
