I use this to select which of two different computers to display on my monitor. Although my monitor itself supports multiple inputs, when one input is powered off it always switches to the other, which I don't want. But this switch doesn't, it only switches between inputs when you press the button - Just want I wanted.Switch over is not quite instant - but the slight delay of about 3 secs is not an issue for me and I suspect would be true for any switching mechanism. I also had to purchase a new (short) hmdi cable

I placed this between my computer and one of my spare monitors, so I could run a long HDMI to my TV.I can now select between having the third monitor content on my screen or TV at the push of a button.Great for Netflix at the end of the day!

My use case is simple and not very demanding. I'm using this simple HDMI switch for switching my electronics workbench 1080p monitor between my microscope output and my old bench MacBook Pro laptop, as the monitor has only a single HDMI input. I have a couple of much larger and more expensive 4xHDMI switches with remotes that are good for entertainment systems, but would be way overkill for this. I had no big expectations other than to be able to switch between them without losing much image quality. For that purpose this little switch works just fine.

Was very impressed with this splitter. I am using to switch between 2 pc's and 1 monitor. It switched quick with the tap of a button and I havent seen any loss of video quality. Definitely recommend.

I have recently purchased a new PC on sale to eventually replace an old Dell that cannot be upgraded to Windows 11. With that OS being "killed off" (not supported) after OCT 2025, I decided it was time for replacement. So, before next OCT I will switch to the new PC online and use the old Dell completely off-line, never to be reconnected to the Internet.Although I also recently purchased a HDMI switcher with a remote control, I will keep this switcher around as a backup, in case the other one ever fails.Either switch will allow me to use my current monitor with either PC, easily switching between them. I will use the old PC only off-line for sensitive financial and personal data, with the new PC for Internet access.This HDMI switcher worked perfectly when tested. Although personally I prefer using the remote-control with the other switcher, this one definitely performs the necessary function well. Good product!

I needed a way to split my HDMI connection between the Roku and the Nintendo Switch, and this worked perfectly. All I need to do is press the button on the unit to switch between the two devices. The switch requires no power to work. It can even split your video feed to two different TVs if you want to do that. The instructions are short. I included a picture of the full English instructions, the rest of the mini-booklet is on other languages, but one thing I noticed is that it says it can support cable up to 5 meters in length, which is great! That's over 15 feet! Overall, this switch was worth it. Does exactly what it is supposed to.

I picked this up because I was looking to incorporate an old PC as a retro gaming machine in my setup. Sadly, that didn't work out, but it's not for any fault of this switch.I was able to mount it to the back of my TV with some double-sided tape and it lit up like a Christmas tree as soon as I plugged in an HDMI cable to it.I found that pass-through video and audio was clear and distortion free on both ports, something you sometimes worry about with inexpensive switches like this.But no, this switch performed flawlessly.An important thing to note is that this switch is bi-directional. This means you can take two sources and use them to display on one TV, or the other way, as a splitter with two TV's and one source.Even though my project didn't work, I'm very happy with this unit, and will be keeping it around for when my next hair-brained idea strikes!
