It's not bad . I just wanted to try a router plane and chose this for the price . The depth adjustment is a little cantankerous but will hold true enough for small channels and pockets. I would recommend this if you are just wanting to try one as it's easy to setup and use .

I was looking for this size, style, and shape in a router plane. I bought a different one a year ago. It was not able to set up without regrinding the degree of pitch on the hags tooth! I sent it back. This is the fourth router plane purchase I have made , and it it my go to! Works well out of the box. It deserves maintenance, so far is very much what I was looking for, @ an unexpected price point!
