Due to the design of my install (I add a Plexiglas cover to the mount), I have to sacrifice the springs when I remove the baffles each time to clean behind them. These work great when I go to rehang.

I bought these as a replacement for older ones that had lost their “spring.” They seem to be a good quality and held the Canlite tightly into place. Ease of installation was about what I expected, lol these are never easy. I found it very helpful to use a small tool that looks like a screwdriver with a hook on the end. It is very hard to get your hands up in there to get things in place.

It was a little difficult to reach inside and reattach the trim cover to the lamp pot assembly. I used needle nose Vice Grip pliers to securely clamp the spring, which made it easier. These new springs attach to the cover without risk of falling off, that also made the task easier.

I had purchased a NICOR spring set to replace the foolishly overstretched. The NICOR ones look almost the same as the HALO but tension was way too loose. Bought these HALO springs for a quarter of the cost for a set of 4 vs just two NICOR ones. Wish I had gone HALO earlier! I recommend these springs.
