I’m a complete noob when it comes to guitar. I acquired an electric guitar, but have no idea what I’m doing. So I figured I’d order this chord sheet to see if it would help. I'll tell you (and take my opinion with a grain of salt, since I'm a novice), this chord sheet immediately made me feel less intimidated by my electric guitar! This 2'x3' sheet is tough, made of a canvas-like material that is more cloth than paper, so it will not easily rip. The sheet details Basic chords, 7th chords, Advanced 7ths, and Suspended chords, as well as mapping the full fretboard. I had no idea how to form these chords, but they show you how to do that, too, through color coding, showing the root, interval, flat, and sharp notes in different colors. As I learn, I feel a little more confident that I can absorb the material!Excellent quality, and well-presented information!

This is a poster meant to last, since it is printed on canvas, which is coated and therefore very smooth. The guitar chord descriptions are very clear to understand even for beginners, and I myself liked them a lot (I play since 40+ years, but am self-taught, so my music theory is not great).Definitely a wonderful gift for a young or somewhat older guitarist, who didn't have too many lessons in music theory.

With this guitar chord/theory chart, you're getting a near complete chord chart (12 chords) for all 12 keys. Most charts only give you the most commonly used chords (major/minor/7ths), but with this chart you get the fingerings for more advanced chord forms, including augmented, diminished and half-diminished 7ths along with suspended 2nds and 4ths. It has a full fretboard diagram, color coding for the intervals and occidentals, and diagrams demonstrating the difference between open/barred chords. You will NOT run out of interesting chords to play using this chart! The poster itself is a very good quality construction being made from painter's canvas that's been laminated to protect it from spills or stains. My only complaint is that the chord diagrams are so small that with my old eyes, I need to have it as close as a book to read them. It won't be usable for me hanging it on the wall, but I can see all of the chords if I mount it in a frame and stand it next to me for easy reference.

Delivered folded in a smart envelope with instructions on how to remove the creases. The cord sheet is comprehensive with loads of information. Looks great on the wall even though the creases are hard to completely remove (see photo). The poster is made of a canvass like paper that feel high quality and should prove to be very durable. Now all I need is to work out how to interpret it and what it all means (;0)

The poster comes folded up and with instructions to iron it to remove the creases. After ironing all the creases are still there and it looks aweful. Why not roll it up like everyone else and send it in a tube?Do not buy this it looks aweful on the wall.

This item comes flat, so you might need an iron to remove the creases. The material itself is good quality. There are a couple of small annoyances - the chord charts are quite small at a distance, and you'll notice they are rotated 270 degrees from normal, which could be a deal-breaker for some. I like that the root notes of the chords are a separate color from the harmonics.

I've been learning/playing guitar now for 4 years; mainly electric. I've committed a lot of chord shapes to memory but I took a music theory course a few months back and started to understand the rules dictating how chords are formed. A beginner might look at this chart and be confused by the numbers printed on the fret diagrams and think they indicate which fingers to use on each fret to form the chords but this is not the case, the solid dots indicate the root note(s) of the chord e.g. the chord of D Major shows solid dots for the Ds in the chord; the numbers 3,5,7 indicate the 3rd, 5th, and (sometimes) 7th notes in the scale for that chord. This is a useful chart if you have some music theory but it isn't one of those charts that shows how to finger each specific chord and therefore I think it's slightly misleading to call it a "Complete Guitar Chords for Beginners" chart so I'm docking it 1 star. The chart itself is clearly printed on strong canvas and the creases can easily be removed with a warm iron.

Pros- clear and concise, although this is from over 2 decades of guitar experience- love the material it's made of, durable!- easy to read- has pretty much every chord a beginner would needCons- still might be a little confusing if you need some directionFirstly, Canvas used with something like this and the same price as a poster would be? Great move. For something like this with knowledge that will never change. A canvas is a great option. It should last all your life if looked after and you can always refer back to it when you need to.Secondly, it basically has every chord a beginner would need. There's obviously other chords but to get a grasp and find the patterns. I think this thing should work wonders for people learning.I don't know theory, 'self-taught' and if I had this when I was trying to teach myself how to play from lick and riff tabs as a kid, I would probably have been able to tell you what I was doing when I was playing and writing..Genuinely wasn't impressed by a previous Noisy Clan product but this one is much more clear, concise and to the point. It doesn't need much direction but if you are someone who benefits from a little bit of hinting you might struggle a little still. Some people should be able to figure it out just be looking and playing around. You won't learn specific details, like why something behaves the way it does or why you place your finger in a certain place. But this canvas will teach you where you should be putting your fingers on the fretboard and what the chord is!Which is all you need if you're a beginner really.. However.. I am that person that would need to know so it might not be quite the 5 star product if you're like me. I will give it 5 stars because it does what it claims. Very well. In an easy manner to understand.

I have a couple poster sized reference charts. They are packed with information, diagrams, circles and arrows and a short paragraph on the back of each one, telling you what it is that you are looking at....Sorry, I happen to be sitting at Alice's Restaurant while writing reviews...Noisy Clan, this simple, color-coded, easy to read (even from a distance), durable, well laid out poster of inspiration and knowledge will NOT end up at the bottom of a hill, under an envelope with my address on it.The Guitar Chords poster is organized well and easy to read. For the beginner or intermediate player, heck, for anyone who plays guitar... this poster has all the info you want, and you can find it at a glance. Major, Minor, Augmented, Diminished, 7th Chords, Advanced 7ths, and Suspended Chords... all lined up on a grid and color coded.Simple. Easy. Useful. As a musician that has been playing electric bass and guitar for over three decades (I'm THAT old?? yikes) and admittedly has never taken the time for theory, I have found that the products these people offer are great learning tools. They are easy to read and understand.I have challenged myself to learn a bit of theory and some new chords to incorporate into my song writing. (I'm also challenging myself to learn to play drums, and start a little "keyboard journey". Just a start on the keys this year.)Durable, simple, clean, color-coded, easy to read, and packed with info... what more could you want?

This is a durable, well put together and large poster with all the chords a beginner could ask for. My son, who's just starting to learn guitar, finds it to be a very helpful reference and worth a place on the bedroom wall. It's made of a slightly fabric-like material which means it's likely to last a lot longer than a paper poster. Yes, it comes folded to save ion packaging/delivery costs, but it includes instructions if you want to iron it out, and I've found the creases are fading by themselves over time anyway.Would also be perfect for guitar tutors, schools etc.
