Calibration of the pH meter
1. The calibration powder with 250ml of distilled water or pure water (Do not use tap water and mineral water) to open. Dip the pH electrode into a mixed phosphate standard buffer at pH 6.86 and shake gently
2. Push the CAL button, it will auto calibration until the displayed value and the standard buffer solution at pH 6.9 consistent with the ambient temperature.
3. The same as above, the electrode was inserted into pH4.01 Phosphorous stupid acid potassium bicarbonate standard buffer solution
4. About two minutes or so. The displayed value should be within the error tolerance compared to the pH value of the buffer solution

I purchased two of these so that I had a backup just in case one went bad.Following written instructions and replacing the caps after use, the body housing of the device builds up moisture as there is no gasket material preventing flow to internal electronics and moisture diffuses throughout including to the batteries at the head (which corrode rapidly).This defect can at first provide incorrect readings before it short circuits (as it did for me), leading to pH changes that are unneeded and requiring neutralization of those changes at extra cost.Both devices were calibrated at the same time to baseline levels 1 week prior. The short circuited one was used a total of 3 times before failure. The backup (2nd meter) had lost calibration in the same span of a week. I returned both of these since they were clearly defective. These come with a separate TDS meter, I didn't need it for that though.

I had been reluctant to get a ph tester for my hydroponic Gardyn because I knew it had to be calibrated. So, I had been using test strips. This device is nicely packaged, has a cute carrying case for the ph and ec meters and comes with extra batteries.It was incredibly easy to calibrate and use. Love it. Cute cases too.

Convenient and sleek but major calibration headache. First use three packets (included) to make high low and medium ph water. Calibrate unit to each, cleaning probe in-between each. Ugh!

Zakupione mierniki używam w domu do kontroli wody z kranu i tej przefiltrowanej zestawem filtrów odwróconej osmozy.
