The first few tiles I cut with this worked out great, but the blade dulled quite quickly. Disappointed in the blade quality

Used it for floor and wall tiles and both worked great. Very little to no chipping on glossy tiles. If there were it was easily removed with a bit of sanding. The tile cutter itself is sturdy, I bit heavy and well made. Just need to find a place to store it as it is long.

My husband used it to replace the bathroom wall tiles and it did a very nice job! It’s sharp, strong, easy to manipulate, does what it’s supposed to do. Tiles are beautifully cut and he barely broke any tile because this tool is quite professional. We’re happy that we found this big helper with the tile cutting!

I've done seven bathrooms with this tile cutter. The backbone is not as strong as I would like but if you score the tile well and pop it at the top not in the middle it works fine. I've done 36x24 large format tile with it just fine. It will do small stuff too.

Ça coupe très bien de grande tuiles et même pour des tailles de petites largeur.

I didn't have a lot of hope this would work for the price it was listed for. I would expect a 48 inch tile cutter to cost anywhere between $400 and $500. Pictures attached I needed two pieces three and a half inches wide on this tile. Set it up Mark the tile slid the cutter across it once. Knowing it's a large tile I did it a second time. Just to be safe I slid it through a third time. A third of the way through the third pass the tile split in half on its own clean perfect cut. So I repeated the process only this time the break was going to be an inch wide. I did the same exact process again and it cut perfectly again. The only thing I found wrong with this cutter are the nuts even though they're locking nuts come loose I'm assuming during transport I had a couple laying loose underneath the unit when I picked it up today. That's why you got to four star rating. The other issue that I have with this is the brake foot does not lift up it slides with the cutter. My 36-in Rubi, I have a handle that disengages the brake foot so you can cut the tile then you drop the brake foot down and use it as it was intended. Once you get used to the brake foot always being on the tile it may not become an issue but you will have to flip it out of the way when you start to cut the tile or you'll find yourself pressing down on that foot more often than not. I will go buy some loctite and put these locking nuts back on later. If you're looking for a solid cutter give this one a try. I like the fact that the bar doesn't flex when you press the handle that was a huge difference from some of the others that I've tried the tile in this picture is a 5/16 porcelain 8x48.Follow up, I figured out how to get the brake foot to stay up. Still gets a 4 star rating due to the nuts and bolts coming loose. Since this review, I've done 9 more jobs and it still cuts perfectly. I still slide the cutter twice before braking the tile. Half the time, the tile splits on the second pass with zero pressure applied other than scoring the tile. Great cutter for the priceUpdate again, still using this job after job. Still in the first cutting wheel as well. The foam pads on the extension legs are worn out. I will need to replace those now. I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. I paid 179.00 and it's literally cut 1000s of tiles and no issues at all. Don't press hard when sliding but press firmly and you will be very happy with this cutter.August 15 2024 last update on this cutter. I've since replaced the pads on all four arms and they have to be replaced again. Also I now have to replace the the cutting wheel as it's not cutting the edge properly and it's chipping the edge off. For the original price I paid which was 179.00 this has been a great addition to my work. The center bar does flex a little now but that is from so much use. I may just buy another one and put this one off to the side if I ever need parts. If I had to buy a new one every couple years at this price it would be worth it as long as they continued to build it the same as my first one. Over the last 3 years I've used this cutter for just about every job. Yes it's big but it cuts better then my 24 & 36" rubi.

I've installed tiles for 10+ years, and always cut tiles with my expensive wet saw. But for the latest large format tiles (24" x 48" and larger) I needed something to make the really big cuts. I had no idea these snap and score cutters could work so well. Clean, straight, and very fast cuts, I wish I got one of these sooner. Watch the video, I was able to cut 48" tiles lengthwise using this cutter and most of the time it went just as in the video, occasionally, I had to score the tile again and tap a couple times to get a clean break. I would estimate that out of 30 cuts, only had one where the tile broke in an undesirable way, and I've been working with dense porcelain tiles.Keep in mind this won't be your only tile cutter, it can't do compound or curved cuts, and the cut edge is too sharp to be an exposed edge. But for all the other uses, this is amazingly fast and accurate. This one on Amazon was a fraction of the cost of the ones I saw at big box and tile stores, and seems well built and should last for years. Highly recommended!

Update: After developing some skill with tile work we started using this and the wet saw. For quick cuts we have a diamond file to make the edges smooth and slightly beveled to look real clean. Background: We are remodeling a large bathroom and got this tool to cut tile. Most of the tile has exposed edges so we want very clean lines. This TYPE of tool does not do very clean lines. So if you are tiling where the edges are covered it is fantastic. This would be around a window or the floor wall transition where baseboards are used.Pros:Very sturdy, I have used this as a brace to stand up and the beam does not flex.Cutting is easy, the ceramic tiles were scored with no effort and the pressure action is just as easy.Fast, it takes much less time to set and cut a tile VS a wet saw.Safe, I'm not sure how you would manage to hurt yourself with this tool. If you are a DIYer and not experienced with power tools this is a safer option.Price, great product for the cost.Con:Not as straight as a wet saw.
