I've used dozen's of different degreasers over the years, and this product is weird. Spray it on water, it creates a film. I've never seen a degreaser do that. It is a milky liquid that is petroleum based. In fact, the instructions say shake well. I didn't know any of this, and I ordered six bottles because it was 87% off. I'm a little worried. I've only done a few tests so far, but I'm not liking what I'm seeing. I tried it on some old burnt on food stains on my stove. It didn't work, but to be fair, those crusty burnt on spots were pretty old. I sprayed it on my stainless sinks, and it left an odd shiny gloss and film. Between the smell and the residue, I just don't like it. Maybe it works for grease stains on laundry items (one of the uses on the back). Hopefully it will work better on my grill grates, but rinse well folks, you don't want to eat this.Update: It actually does work very well as a grease stain remover for laundry. The key is you have to shake well first before spraying. It completely removed old grease stains on some of my old shirts. Sweet! This is the best use I've found for it. The only negative is it leaves a petroleum smell, so use fabric softener or dryer sheets. I'm not a fan for other uses, such as grill grates.

My husband was a contractor and he always brought this stuff home for me - I think he got it at the hardware store. I haven’t had it for years until I saw it on Amazon - it was every bit as good as I remember - does most of the work for you and doesn’t require tons of hard scrubbing - I have already sent a link to my daughter and my sister and they agreed / it is a great product!!!

I don't know how I didn't know this didn't exist until last month. I bought it for my gas stove top when I ran out of oven cleaner and was down the amazon rabbit hole. The change filter light came on for my above range microwave and I had the idea to try this. I used to boil the metal filters for the hood vent in baking soda water and then eventually they wear down and you have to buy new ones. They get super oily and sticky and gross, and they never really look perfect afterwards, it's more of a "I don't wanna run to the store and buy a new one right now quick fix". So I sprayed it on and let it sit like not even long, like 5 minutes. Then using my sink sprayer on all the way hot, I sprayed it off and the metal filters I kid you not look brand new I'm amazed, the grease like melted off. I will never have to boil them again which was gross( you had a greasy pot to clean after so its like a double clean) , time consuming and broke down the integrity of the filters over time. I even showed my husband who is a construction manager so they need all these techniques to fix various issues along the building process.

Updated Review - June 22, 2022: I decided to give this spray Goof Off another try. I just opened my second bottle. I do not know what is in the second bottle, but it is not Goof Off. The contents appears to be water with a light solvent odor. I have several cans of Goof Off and I compared the contents of the spray bottle with the contents of the cans. BIG difference. The contents of the spray bottle does not cut grease; remove stains; foam when sprayed; or feel, smell, or function anything like Goof Off. I think I received a spray bottle of water. Too late to return to Amazon. Be warned... this product is fake.My First Bottle: I am a BIG fan of Goof Off (since my days in the US Army in the late 1980s). I use Goof Off on jobs all the time. I purchased this spray with laundry in mind. Good Off is great at getting out grease and other stains from clothes (even if the clothes have been run through the dryer). I have been using the standard Good Off (in the cans) for years for this purpose, but that is a bit messy and wasteful (the non-viscous Goof Off can get all over the place). I thought this spray delivery system would be much more effective for applying Goof Off to a stain and only to the stain. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The sprayer creates a foam-like output that is more of a stream than a spray (regardless of the nozzle setting) and it is messier than the liquid. The spray is not a “nice” spray like with Windex, ArmorAll, Shout, Spray ‘n Wash, etc., but rather a “crazy” foamy mess that back splashes onto the user, the garment, the washing machine, and all over the place. There may be other uses for the Goof Off spray where this will not be a problem, but for my use… it’s a problem. I will still use Goof Off, but not in this format.
