Your cart is empty.The Opal Cleaning Kit is designed for routine maintenance on the GE Profile Opal Nugget Ice Maker. Regular use of this cleaning kit will remove internal and external scale (mineral & calcium build-up) and keep your ice tasting fresh! We recommend using the cleaning kit every 6 months, or sooner depending on your water conditions. The cleaning solution is nearly odorless and is more effective than other at-home solutions. The Kit includes two 2.5-ounce cleaning solution bottles, cleaning cloth, sponge and 4 Q-tips. Keeping the Opal ice maker and side tank accessory clean ensures you have plenty of fresh tasting ice. The Opal ice maker will indicate when it is time to clean the unit using the display ring around the round button on the front. When the display ring is solid yellow, it is ready to be cleaned.

I have bought this twice and while the product seems to work well, both shipments arrived with the liquid leaking all inside the box. Unfortunately I didn’t open the box until I needed it and it was past the return window.Things happen sometimes during shipping so I let the first one just go. But 2x now and the fact that it’s not cheap and I have essentially thrown this $$ away is frustrating. They need to fix shipping problems. Box was not damaged in any way either so not sure what the problem is.Beware!!

I would sure like to know the ingredients in this, because it will clean the heck out of your machine, gets rid of all the white mineral deposits, when white vinegar and other chemicals will not.I HIGHLY recommend this for cleaning, 1/2 bottle every month.

It’s easy to use, I just pour it in the side tank and sometimes I’ll pour it into the bottom of the ice maker itself and after a few cleaning cycles it’s cleaned out.

Bottle arrived leaking in the ziplock bag. No sponge or instructions included. I have cleaned my GE ice machine multiple times and it just kept screeching and I was ready to give up. Found this cleaning solvent and used this running multiple cycles over 18 hours and my ice machine is working again. Hope it last!

This product is as described. The price is high, but at least you get two washes out of a single bottle. I clean my Opal Ice Maker fairly regularly with hot water and bleach, but it's necessary to do a deeper clean at least once or twice a year, and that's when I use this product.I did not have any issues with the product being damaged in shipping. Will purchase again.

Overpriced, but worked to get GE OPAL ice maker working again. I have been cleaning the ice maker using an overnight distilled white vinegar cycle approximate once every two months. All of a sudden, the 1-year-old ice maker would stop making ice after a short time, giving a false indication of a low water level. Even after multiple vinegar cleaning attempts the problem persisted.After using the OPAL cleaning solution, the ice maker is working normally.
