This 3 “ auger bit is Heavy duty. It dig into the dirt. You can’t go wrong getting this auger. I used it in predator gas power auger.

Great until after about 30 holes, I was mixing compost for a raised garden bed and reversed the augre to find the end gone.

Purchased to use with a harborfreight predator post hole digger. The harborfreight package comes with a six inch auger. We needed an eight inch for some projects. This post hole auger is awesome! The larger auger tip starts into soil beautifully. After the tool starts to dig the auger cut and dispel dirt effect is top notch. We may replace the harborfreight six inch auger with a similar style as this eight inch.When mounting the auger you will need a new bolt. The six inch pin is 1/2 to short. The awesome heavy duty socket on the eight inch auger has a larger bolt included;however, the bolt is too large in diameter to fit through the hole on the predator power head. Picking up a replacement low grade bolt is super cheap and simple.Highly recommend this eight inch auger bit. The predator power head had no issues powering the eight inch bit through the soil.

solid, heavy, well made. HOWever in selling it they do not say ' our through bolt is X size and this ONLY fits the subset of post hole diggers/augers with a through hole at least X size' Is like this bolt is 5/8" but the hole it needs to push through in the machine to attach it is 1/2" It does not fit my old GAS one nor my new Greenworks one based solely on the bolt being too fat. I could drill out the hole and make it fit but such a waste of time. 20 of these for sale with clip in retain bolts that fit all augers, this has threaded bolt that is just a tad to big for many so skip it.

This auger blade appears to be nicely manufactured. But I had to return it only because it added too much weight for me to lift... Growing old is not a graceful thing...

Used this to dig footers for a front porch. Had to dig 4 footers that were 4' deep, and 14" around. Used this bit with the harbor freight Predator gas powered earth auger. To dig that deep in soil with a lot of rocks, I first dug out using 4" bit, then the 8" bit, and finally my son and I worked together to use this 14" bit. I could just about manage the first 2' by myself, but with the extension rod and the 14" bit, it just becomes too heavy for one person to pull in and out of the hole. Having two people to pull it up and clean it off as you dig down made it go much more easily. If I had to dig more footers, I'd have rented something. But this bit worked very well for what we needed it for. I was impressed with the performance on the small gas auger.
