Sturdy so far, and as well built as any other hardware of this type I have seen. I'm never sure how long paint will hold up instead of galvi or stainless, but it serves its purpose.

This review is for "G80 5/16" Safety Chain Connector Link, 2 Pack Heavy Duty Hammerlock Coupling Link, Tow Hitch, Tow Chain Connector for Towing, Lifting, Trucks & Trailers", Lechansen Item model number G80 Safety Chain Connector Link (ASIN B0DDPTLR96). Title and ASIN are included in the review because sometimes reviews get re-sorted and are no longer associated with the correct product.The Lechansen 5/16in Hammerlock Coupling Links did not ship particularly quickly. The ordered was placed on a Thursday but sis not ship until 12 days later on a Monday. The order was received the following day (Tuesday) and was packaged reasonably in a padded envelope. Within the padded shipping envelope the links were retail packaged in a reclosable clear plastic bag with a heavy duty zipping mechanism, and within this bag each link "kit" was packaged in a separate reclosable plastic bag (two link halves, pin, anti-drop buckle, cotter pin). Each link half is stamped "7/8-8", "WLL 2T" and "CE", exactly as shown in the Amazon listing. AI appreciate that the working load limit is stamped on each link, but I'd love to also see a G80.I purchased the Lechansen Hammerlock couplings for use with 5/16in G80 chain which I use primarily for logging. When I pulled apart the first coupling I noticed that there is an indent in the middle of the pin where the anti-drop buckle fits. To use the buckle, fit the pin through one side of the links and then put on the buckle and tap it into place with a hammer. Installing the buckle will make the coupling difficult to disassemble, so don't use the buckle if you plan to disassemble the coupling when using it. I'll be using the coupling to join shorter lengths of chain as needed, so I'll leave the buckles off, at least for now.I had no trouble connecting two 5/16in chains with the Lechansen 5/16in Hammerlock couplings. I can't help but notice that the couplings are rated 2T whereas the 5/6in chain is rated 4700lb, so the couplings are literally "the weakest link" in the chain. Ha! But I can't imagine that this will be a problem for my use. I currently join these chains using 5/16in Safety Chain Repair Link with twin clevises (https://Amazon.com/dp/B09MZSBSWV), which are G70 and rated 3900lb. So by comparison, the Lechansen couplings are slightly more expensive for a pair but feature a single pin and cotter pin as opposed to two sets (fewer items to lose) and a marginally higher WLL. The Lechansen couplings could be used to join two PAIR of chains or to connect to a pear link whereas the repair links can only be used to join two chains. The Lechansen couplings may be cheaper than the repair links when purchased in quantity.I'm pleased with the Lechansen 5/16in Hammerlock Couplings and I'm sure they'll provide many years of hard use.
