This "fruit hardness tester (or fruit hardness tester also known as fruit hardness tester)" (from the product images!) I thought was a tool that I could use at the grocery store to check the ripeness of various fruits but its actually something a farmer would use to check the fruit growing on trees for example. I suppose it could be used in a store but probably with weird looks and coercion from the management to to take ownership through monetary exchange for the fruit in question. I've used it, to poke my own fruit, but to what purpose other than to see the needle on the gauge move? There is no instruction nor indication of what the scales, it's implied through something unknown to me. As such, I can't recommend a layperson such as myself to purchase this tool. I'm sure it has it's uses, they are entirely somewhere else to me unfortunately.

I ordered this fruit tester for one purpose: When it's the best time to open an avocado. I've discarded too many because they were either too hard to eat, or too brown inside, and they're too expensive to waste. The user's manual that comes with this device is nearly impossible to understand. It's one of the worst translations into English. There are no estimates, of course. It might take me a while to figure out the best reading on the gauge for avocados, but I'll get it eventually. One thing I really like is that it comes with a sturdy plastic case and custom cut padding inside.
