At first I was hesitant about using this product as its on the expensive side. It does make your water crystal clear and easier to control the quality and easier to balance water quality> I use the yellow bromine as well, especially in hotter weather! Less fall off in chemical sanitizer!

The Frog Spa mineral cartridge system makes taking care of my hot tub so much easier. This the third cartridge I have ordered through Amazon and have never been disappointed. Although I use chlorine in my spa and this cartridge says it's for a bromine system I verified with my spa dealer that the chemicals are the same for both systems. This cartridge is almost $10 less expensive than the darker colored one that says it's for a chlorine system. My spa water stays clear and doesn't have any strong chemical odor for 3 to 4 months with monthly chlorine cartridge changes.

I truly believe this enhances the quality of my hot tub water. Don't over chemical with this in your tub-- water softeners etc are NOT needed. I just use this, the bromine cartridge, ph and hard water adjusters and occasionally an enzyme product. I shock with MPS after each use, and if I know I'm not going to be tubbing for a few days, add a bit extra bromine. Works for me!
