With a patented two-step boot lever and extendable four-wheel FOILKUT system foil cutter, this Franmara Boomerang two-step waiter's corkscrew with handle makes opening wine bottles quick, easy, and efficient! This corkscrew is perfect for restaurants, wineries, and catered events. To use, start by expanding the FOILKUT system foil cutter. Place it over the neck of the bottle and make two good turns to cut the foil. Remove the foil cutter from the bottle, collapse the cutter, and remove the foil from the bottle. You're now ready to open the bottle. Insert the nickel-plated spiral worm into the cork. This open spiral worm features a filet running down it to cut into the cork quicker than with traditional worms. Turn the handle to drive the worm further into the cork, until about a half a turn is showing. Place the stainless steel boot lever on the rim of the bottle and gently begin to extract about 7/8" of the cork. Press the boot lever in and the second boot lever will pull the rest of the cork straight out. This corkscrew's patented two-step boot lever is incredibly efficient at extracting corks, thanks to its spring-loaded floating axis. A crescent-shaped cutout in the handle keeps the floating axis in a vertical position, relieving stress so that the boot lever hugs against the cork during extraction. This system provides added leverage for increased efficiency and more rapid service.

I first got to use this kind of opener at my winery job. It is the best for cutting the foil then opening the bottle. You won’t be disappointed!

I work as a bartender in an Italian restaurant. I open about 50 bottles a day and with this baby, I’m opening those bottles ( foil and cork) within 10 seconds.The foil cutter holds up well and stays sharp for at least 6 months of high volume use.Don’t be scared of this amazing sidekick, it’s a bit of a learning curve with the foil cutter, but with some practice you can be as fast as me

I have used this wine opener countless times and can each case gave great results. The quality in both materials and construction is very good too. As such have given this wine opener as gifts and therecipients have thanked me every time. Overall this unit is easy to use and if one goes on Youtube,look up the Boomerang Wine Opener and it will show you how to it first time and every time.

I bought this wine key strictly for it's pink color. I prefer my wine keys to have the retractable foil cutter like this one does. As a server, I am constantly opening wine bottles and the foil cutter made like this one cuts the foil in one swift motion. The cutting part has stayed sharp, as well, which is usually a problem with this type of wine key.With all of the other items I have to hold in my apron pocket, I'm happy with the brightness and thinness of this wine key. It's not bulky.The only issue that I've had with this wine key is that sometimes it seems that if the screw and the lever are off just a little bit in the cork, it makes it feel like the cork is going to break. I have not had a cork break yet, however, sometimes I'll have to unwind the cork and start the process over and make sure everything is lined up and even.Overall, it's a good wine key, I use it a lot and it hasn't become dull, and it's really pretty!

The opener I received simply does not work. I purchased it because I wanted the built-in foil cutter. That part works just fine. The opener itself, not so fine. It does not line up with the lip of the bottle, which pretty much makes it useless since you cannot get any leverage. Frankly, it feels dangerous to use. I compared it with the others we have with same basic design, and it is clear that they have different distances from the corkscrew, as well as different shape. I also note a different angle to the corkscrew. Unfortunately, we don't drink wine all that much. The few bottles we had in the two months following this purchase all turned out to have screw-on tops so this product wasn't tested until yesterday. It will now have to live in a landfill as it cannot be returned or exchanged. Not a lot of money, but a frustrating waste nonetheless.**EDIT: I finally figured out what was not working. After I discovered the spring-loading on my own, I went back to the online product description to see what I might have had missed. The "spring-loaded floating spring axis" was not all that obvious and did not automatically adjust as described, but I was able to push the crescent-shaped piece on my own (it was awkward, but I'm sure I'll get used to it now that I know it is there.) At that point it worked exactly as expected. Since I've now had this for a number months (it sat in a drawer after my first failed use but I couldn't bring myself to throw it away), I no longer have the packaging, but I would swear that it came with no or minimal instructions for use. Anyone who reads this and can advise, please write a comment and I will correct my post. I'm giving it a 3 because I feel I shouldn't have to figure out how a product works. Salud!

Eventually, you can get an easy-working corkscrew that comes with a neat foil cutter. The price is much too high, though, as you can get the thing in Europe for about 30% of the Amazon price -

Wile E. Coyote approved.I've got just about every bottle opener ever made, and the foil cutter on this one is the easiest to use in the industry. I also love the effectiveness of the screw itself; it has a "grooved" worm, which is to say the screw has a groove down the length of it, so it doesn't split the cork. Like the best bottle openers, this one has a two-step pry lever so you can start the pull and end it with good leverage that makes it easy to remove the cork without cracking it inside the bottle.This is an Italian made bottle opener that was such a hit on my Camino [de Santiago] trip with a Swiss compatriot who basically stole it every chance they could get. Once we got to Santiago, I gave it to them, and so I had to buy another one after I got home, but it's hard to find in stores nowadays, so I had to get it here, on A-zon.The only other bottle opener I like in this price range, is the American made (NOT Chinese imitation) Pulltap, and while I like the feel of the Pulltap in my hand better, and it folds down tighter, this one weighs a tad less (better for town-to-town backpacking, or picnics) and the foil cutter is better. I like both. I use both, as well as some shmancier ones that I keep at home. But for on the go, you either want this one, or the Pulltap. And for the Camino, this would be the one to bring.
