Formica Brand Laminate is often thought of as the kitchen and bath countertop material, but can also be used to make beautiful bar tops, desks, shelving units, backsplashes, cabinet fronts, walls and more. Formica laminate, regardless of pattern and finish, should be treated and cared for in the same way: wash with a soft, clean cloth, water and mild soap, rinse well with water & dry thoroughly. A soft brush may help clean more heavily textured finishes. Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, sandpaper, or scouring pads. Laminate finishes are designed last for a long time with proper care. Hot cookware can leave permanent burn marks on many countertop surfaces, including laminate, use a trivet, insulated hot pad or other protective device beneath all hot cookware, heat generating appliances, or other heated objects.
