This is such a clever addition to the Model Y. I was in need of a sunroof cover for my car, but was not impressed by the standard clip on ones offered everywhere. This one is an upgraded version of a sunroof shade that works automatically to open and close. I was not sold on the idea of having to manually putting up and taking down the cover with the different seasons. Sometimes I do want the natural light to flood in, so this electric shade was a no brainer.I noticed one of the bolts to secure the shade to the front of the car was missing upon opening the package and was going to reach out to the seller to send the missing piece. Little did I know that I would need to return the item to get a whole new one just to replace ONE bolt. It seems like a waste of resources and time. So now I have one half of the shade dangling down until I can get my hands on a replacement. I have not tested how it works because it isn't properly installed yet.Another neat feature is that this came with a splitter so you could still use the emergency socket while the shade is plugged in. That was a thoughtful detail. Installation did take some time and effort, but the process was not difficult at all.
