The Fitbit Charge series is a favorite among fitness watches. Why? It's the form factor (shape). For me and other repeat buyers, a round shape is "old timey." A second powerful reason is that many of us LIKE the e-paper display - crisp white or gray-scale characters create a uniquely attractive presentation. Dense color displays are "eye candy" and a turn-off to many. It's unfortunate that it appears the Charge 4 is the last of the e-paper displays - a shame and, to me, a marketing decision which I hope Fitbit's parent company reconsiders. df

We purchased 2 of these Fitbits and within the warranty period the following occurred:1. My wife's fitbit in 6 months failed. After several calls to Customer Service and sending pictures and receipts to them, they sent a new unit to her. When it arrived, that unit did not work. After going back in forth with customer support, we upgraded her unit to a 5. We were told we would have it within 3 to 5 business days. 21 business days it arrived. Each time we called customer support we got a different answer.Now comes an unimaginable circumstance. My unit failed within the warranty period. Called customer support and they said yes it is in warranty, please send pictures. I sent pictures they then asked for receipt, I sent receipt, they come back and says you bought it from an unapproved reseller. I said, I bought it from Amazon and you already took care of my wifes unit under warranty, they came back and said we are sorry you have to take it up with Amazon and the end reseller, we can't help you. I reminded them that they already replaced my wifes unit and again their response was take it up with Amazon.I have several friends that have had nothing but problems with their fitbits...I purchased someone else's watch which was 1/2 the price of fitbit.They may have been a good company at one point, but not today..Stay away.

This is my 3rd (and last) Fitbit Charge 4. I've turned the GPS to the recommended setting (which I've never changed since I bought it and yet some how it's now on 'Dyanmic') and reset the thing twice and no luck. Still won't hold a charge for more than 3 hours.Got hold of Fitibit support and of course had to go through all the things I'd already done to have them say, 'Gee, we'll submit a warranty ticket.' The best they could do last time was give me a discount on a new tracker.Honestly, I like the Charge 4 and the app. They sync well and they track all the information I want to track. But the Charge 4 as a product seems to have a planned obsolescence that stretches to just after the warranty period and then you're just out of luck. I quit Garmin because I wasn't going to pay $89 to replace the band on a $100 tracker and Fitibit bands are super easy to replace.I guess I'll look around beyond Fitbit.

I had a fitbit charge 4 previously and some of the features on this one are different. Need to review the Users Manual to become more familiar. I ordered this particular Fitbit because i have many accessory bands for it and these bands ate useless for any other tracker.

Upgraded my daughter from her vivofit to this fitbit. I really love it for her and so does she. The mobile app is very easy to navigate, and you can even add friends! The fitbit seems to be tracking accurately. I'd recommend it so far! Only downside, it takes sooo long to charge it.

I love Fitbits- have had two now and like the functionality of the app. I didn’t use mine for texting but was happy with the heart rate monitoring and step counting. However, after about 8 months, the plastic pegs that hold the bands on snapped off. This is the second time it has happened. First time, I bought the Fitbit at Costco and they gave me a full refund. I decided to take a leap of faith and order the same one here on Amazon (Costco was out of this version) and I liked how slender it was. Figured it was a fluke the first time, but it happened again. I contacted Fitbit customer service through the Fitbit app, and they replaced the part with a new watch face in a matter of a couple of days. I’m so happy with the quality and speed of the service and the watch face seems improved to the last one. Happy to still use my Fitbit!
