Amazingly resilient to the flame of a propane torch, and also really soft and fluffy. After testing/playing around with it, I used as a wick for an alcohol stove. Used several times and it's still like brand new. Material is nice and thick, but cuts easily with scissors.

I bought this to cover a suppressor to reduce heat mirage in the scope after a few shots. Naturally this won't do for you tacticool mag dumpers, but it should work fine for a few short 10-20 shot sessions like you have in hog hunting or a range day shooting groups.
