everything that this unit claims to be is TRUE as true can be, and it plays extremely well with the sounds that are afforded very expensive pianos.

I was looking up this product over the internet. It got positive reviews. The keys are semi-weighted, as described, but I wish if i am able to control the velocity since I use sound libraries. It is too loud. I would re recommend it as a standalone product for sure. I will take one star out of my rating as I wish it had a software to configure its settings so that it would be perfect to be played using my sound library.

I decided to take online piano lessons as an adult, and since I expect to be doing a lot of traveling over the next 6 months, I wanted a very portable practice option. I had hoped the quality of this item would also be sufficient for my needs as a beginning pianist.Well... yes and no. I still intend to use this for travel, as it is VERY portable. (Imagine being able to take your piano with you on a plane; and not as a carry-on, but as a handbag!) When folded up nicely into its little case, it's not much bigger than a melodica. The sound isn't amazing, but it's fine for what I need it for. It plays music aloud without the need for a connection to an external speaker. The electronic electronic features are okay, I guess, but I personally don't really care about them; this is mostly for practicing fingering. My biggest concern is over the quality of the keys. For this price, I wasn't expecting nicely-weighted piano keys. However, the keys can be rather touchy; the slightest trembling of my finger as I press a key is sometimes enough to trigger the same note twice. Worse, they don't seem very stable, and as you're moving your hands across them, they can bend from side to side. In particular, the two center keys (on either side of the fold), middle E & F, are VERY wobbly, and there is a noticeably larger gap between them. Even when you press them down straight, they bend in toward the center gap. (See pictures.) Not only is it annoying, but I also worry that playing them too much, or too forcibly, might break them! For this reason, I avoid playing in the middle octave, which is REALLY inconvenient, to be honest. As I said, I will still use this for practice while I am traveling. However, it's definitely not a good choice for any serious performing, and I'm not sure I trust it to stand up to regular practice, either. After playing it for a couple weeks, I'm looking into getting a higher quality digital piano for those uses.

I'm writing this review as a professional piano player using the unit for recreational purposes i.e. I needed something that didn't weigh 60lbs and take up 5' for our camping trailer. I am extremely pleased with the unit. From a portability standpoint, you couldn't ask for more - you can literally set this thing up anywhere and practice or play for friends (move over John Denver, this campfire is getting some Billy Joel!). The keys are also very playable - just enough spring loading to play smoothly on, and a really nice key surface texture as well. Normally, I might have taken off a star for the sound quality (which you wouldn't describe as "rich" or "full"), but this is really just an issue with the tiny speakers. If you use headphones, or plug/bluetooth the piano into a decent speaker, the sounds are fine. Even as is, you can certainly enjoy playing the unit with plenty of volume for a small corwd. The reason I didn't take a star off is due to the company selling this product, which deserves 10 stars. I had an issue with my piano after nearly a year of use which was probably related more to wear than any sort of defect. The response of this seller was unbelievably thorough and prompt, and far exceeded my expectations. Buy with confidence, this is a solid little unit backed by a very solid seller. Highly recommended.

The first thing that I like about this foldable piano is its convenience given that it's portable, can be used without being charged for many hours, and has a range of settings. Although this is a good foldable piano for its price, the sound is not good when the sound is coming from the piano speaker itself. I did figure out how to get it to sound good, which requires you to connect with either garage band (not bluetooth) because of delay or connecting it with Synthesia/Midi.Pros:- Convenient- Good for beginners- Kit includes items that makes it easier to travel such as a bag, a clip for music sheets- Foldable and portable- Can be used without having it plugged in- Many different settings for sounds- Can record your playing- Can be connected to apps like Synthesia or Garageband- Can plug your headphones in so can be used in privateCons:- Poor sound quality with the piano itself, so you will need to connect with Synthesia or Garageband (connect with aux cord or USB to lightning cable depending on which device, as bluetooth will have delays)- The sustain pedal that comes with the kit moves a lot on the floor, and makes its hard to useI give this overall product a 3/5 because of the quality. It is very beginner friendly, if you are looking into just learning the piano since the kit does include things like notes and stickers to label them. I got this to play the piano in my own room and because it's foldable and so I can play without disturbance at night time. This would definitely be something to go with if you want to practice while travelling given its convenience and price, but do note that the sound quality is subpar if it comes out of the speaker itself from the piano, so would need to consider connecting it with MIDI/Synthesia or Garageband.

I haven't played in years and I saw this on YT so I decided to purchase it.The piano is great for beginners as it is pretty cheap, portable, and offers full set of keys. There are some strange nuances;1. Sometimes the keys seem to "lag" and the sound is soft or sometimes loud, it is hard to describe but not normal; like there is no good consistency in how the unit detects keys being pressed.2. The keys feel a bit strange, they are cheap but does have some weight to them. There is a strange grippy surface that takes getting used to.3. While this is portable, it does not come with a stand, so be prepared to buy one.4. The sheet music holder seems flimsy, and while it can probably hold sheet music OK, heavier piano books may be problematic. It would have been great if the supports weren't just 2 small plastic pegs, but maybe metal.5. You can change the sound / tone but it is a very manual and weird thing to do...You have to hold the "tone" button down and then scroll the wheel.

My planned use of this keyboard is almost exclusively to interface it with my DAW (Logic Pro) for MIDI sequencing and music production. The keyboard and DAW pair and connect silently as soon as both are up and running. Input from and output to the keyboard are working great. I did configure the Bluetooth MIDI interface and attach the keyboard to it in the macOS MIDI Setup utility beforehand. The samples used for the built-in General MIDI instruments aren't great, and the instrument's speakers aren't either. It's a more than adequate practice instrument for someone just starting out on piano, but advanced players probably won't be satisfied. This is not a performance instrument. Then again, it doesn't claim to be, and when I turn the volume off and route the output to another speaker system through a DAW and its own (much better) sound samples, it's not an issue. Some of the "features," like SUSTAIN, VIBRATE, and VELOCITY should be adjustable on a graduated scale instead of the simple ON/OFF settings provided.Volume, instrument, and all the "feature" settings should be persisted, so that they're still there the next time the keyboard is turned on. Instead, it reverts to its factory settings every time, and frankly, some of those are pretty harsh. The light weight, foldable design, zero cable connections, and the provided case make for outstanding portability and storage. The supplied accessories (headset, sustain pedal, and purple covering cloth with gold tassels are classy touches. I like the slightly grainy feel of the keys. The aesthetics are good, and the product arrived with none of the manufacturing defects that a few other reviewers have experienced.Overall, after spending a few days working with this product, I'm confident it will serve the purposes I bought it for.

I'm a 69-year-old retiree who has been taking piano lessons for the lat several years to atone for my failure to practice regularly as a kid. I bought this keyboard so I can continue practicing when I travel. It's great! The sound quality is reasonable, the sustain pedal is a nice accessory for a portable keyboard. It was easy to transport on the plane. The headphones allow me to practice and not disturb others around me. Great expenditure of my money.

This is an amazing keyboard. The fact that it folds up and I can take it with me is such a great feature. the sound is great. The keys are fullsize and it it is weighted. It is so perfect for people who live in small spaces. The seller was great. I would definitely recommend this product and seller! one of the best things I've bought on amazon for sure.
