Filtrete 14x24x1 MPR 2200 Air Filter, made by 3M, helps capture unwanted particles from your household air to contribute to a cleaner, fresher home environment. Designed with exclusive Filtrete 3-in-1 technology, including a high MPR 2200 and MERV 13 rating, your AC filter will help pull and capture countless microparticles – such as pet dander, smoke, bacteria and viruses – while letting cleaner air flow through. This HVAC filter captures up to 69% of small particles (1) and 78% of airborne virus particles (2) to help make your air cleaner. Your Filtrete Filter will also capture large particles, including lint, pollen and household dust. This filter is CERTIFIED asthma and allergy-friendly (3). Use one of the two 3-month pleated 1-inch home air filters in your furnace, air conditioner or HVAC system. Change your furnace filter at least every 90 days.

I'm sure this is a fabulous filter, it's just that it is slightly larger than other filters of the same "size." I made it work, but had to peel some cardboard off the side and get a little rough with it.

When there is smoke outside, from wild fires, that the furnace is bringing into the house, we install these Filtrate 2200 into the furnace and it takes the smoke out. We also have Blue Air filters with the extra carbon and they also take the smoke out. We need both during a wild fire.

if you are in the market for an air filter these are the ones to get. There are cheaper filters out there but you do get what you pay for in this case. Filtrete air filters are well made and are rated up to MERV13 which is as close to a true hepa filter as you can get for your furnace and air conditioner intakes.You will notice the difference in how clean the air is

I have been using 3M Filtrete filters for several years. I change my filters every three months and typically get the highest rated filters that will fit in my HVAC system I can find when it comes time to change the filters.For the last year, I've been using the Filtrete MPR2200 filters. I think they work very well based on how I keep my house. I typically keep all of my windows and doors closed and primarily use the HVAC system year round. This helps the air inside the house stay clean.The filters do a good job of pulling pollen out of the air as well as dander from my two cats. I can see it in the frequency I need to dust. There isn't much in the air to lands on things that I need to dust off. When my HVAC person came in to do the annual maintenance on the system, he was surprised at how clean the coils were on the unit.

I'm hideously allergic to cedar pollen, and these filters are a life-saver. I initially installed them in our central HVAC system in the midst of an unusually bad cedar season at the behest of my doctor. and was thankfully surprised. These filters catch a LOT of pollen. The filters are just caked within a couple of weeks, so it means $80 worth of filters a month (at least), but that's still MUCH cheaper than the deductible for a trip to the emergency room to deal with my allergies and asthma! I've only had to go ONCE this year, and that's fantastic for me.So - if you're allergic as I am to the crud in the air, I suggest trying these; I think you'll save a lot on medical treatment, as I do - not to mention FEELING BETTER.
