The Pocket Chisel is available in 1/4-Inch, 1/2-Inch, 3/4-Inch and 1-Inch and the handles are color coded to eliminate having to guess which chisel you are pulling out of your pocket.

It's great to just toss into the tool bag. A chisel on hand with no worries about it cutting you, the bag, or anything else.

Extremely sharp right out of the package and perfectly sized for me to keep it nearby. The handle’s material feels unfamiliar, but it seems sufficiently durable. The odd mustard-like color really stands out on my cluttered bench. I’ve used it for only a couple weeks, and already it’s among my favorite tools.

Cheap plastic handle. This will never survive getting repeatedly struck with a hammer, which is pretty much the whole game for a chisel.

Need to carry a chisel in my toolbox but I was always losing the protective cap. That can be very dangerous when reaching into the toolbox. This chisel folds up and is completely safe when stored. After a little honing it is quite sharp too.

I have only had this item for a month. If problems show up, I will revise my review.I am restoring an historic house. In the finishing stage I am constantly using a chisel to make minor modifications so I usually have one in my back pocket. If it goes in handle first, I cut myself or scratch something with the chisel end. If it goes in the other way, I quickly have a hole in my pocket. It appeared that this item would correct both problems. So far this is what I can tell you.Pros:1. the folding feature protects everything2. so far the blade has retained a sharp edge3. in spite of the folding feature, the blade is stableCons:1. I don't think you would want to strike this with a mallet. The rivets at the handle probably wouldn't survive long.2. the handle, while not uncomfortable, is not as comfortable as the handle of a fine chiselI knew both of the cons before buying the chisel but decided they would be small inconveniences. I was right. I gave this 5 stars not because it is a great chisel but because it works very well and does exactly what I wanted.I own several other folding items from this same company. None of them would be my tool of choice for extensive work, but all of them work well for the times when you need to do something simple and quick. I can usually pull the tool out of my pocket and finish the job before I could go to my tool box and return with the proper tool.

This is a great replacement for the Marples 1/2" chisel I was carrying in my portable jobsite tool box. The plastic cover for the Marples chisel trapped moisture and caused rust. The Fastcap chisels don't seem to have that problem. Based on past experience with FastCap chisels, this one will be a winner.

this tool proves very handy in my shop apron. I do wish there were some information on the type of steel used for the blade since all the focus is on the durable plastic handle. product works as advertised.

I have always wanted chisels I could safely carry in my tool apron and these from Fastcap are just the ticket. My only complaint was that the handles on mine would not stay completely closed when folded. I ended up having to do a little filing on the chisel near the hinge points to eliminate some interference issues. Once that's taken care of, the chisel becomes a 5 star tool! I will be buying some of the other sizes soon.
