From the Forums:Ford requires new U bolts and nuts, which should be torqued to 185 lb-ft. The bolts should be as RTM038 stated, even in the amount of thread exposure and cross-torqued. What isn't mentioned in the current manual is that they should be rechecked for torque after the vehicle's weight has been placed on the springs. The normal curvature of the spring arch requires some of the force used to tighten the U bolts, and this will give you a false reading. With weight back on and the springs flattened, the U bolts will be under-torqued.

They came with the wrong size nuts and washers and couldnt find any at the local hardware store. So i had to use the old ones.
