Great for crafting! They had a strong smell upon opening the package but that eased after time. The colors are bright and the foam cuts easily both with scissors and my cricut.

This is a nice set of craft foam, kind of a sampler kit in a way. These sheets are small (not a criticism) and very thin (again, not a criticism). This makes them ideal for detail work in any kind of 3-dimensional project or craft you might be trying, but also for 2-dimensional projects where you want to it lay very flat. I love the mustard color that I ordered.I work in foam a lot - from theatrical sets mockups and film props to my own modeling and diorama-making projects. This material is extremely versatile. It is easy to cut, takes acrylic (or spray) paint well and you can get it to hold a three-dimensional shape by heating it up (with a heat gun or a hair dryer). To connect pieces together, you can use hot glue, but (pro tip:) double-sided tape works amazingly well on this foam.

If you like doing small, colorful crafts for kids, this EVA foam is a must have item. It is extremely easy to cut and work with. It works really good with hot glue for all kinds of projects. This also cuts really easily with my diode laser engraver when you need precise shapes cut out. However, due to the fumes produced during the cutting process you should have a good ventilation solution in place before doing anything. I've been pretty happy with these sheets so far and will buy more in the future when we run out of these.

I've been experimenting with creating stamps on my laser engraver/cutter. These foam sheets cut super easy, and have a nice spongy feel for stamping with.

I was trying out the idea of making my own stamps for my new hobby of junk journaling. I used to (way back in the 80s/90s) have a collection of stamps, but time and cross country moving have made those leave my stash, so rebuilding my collection was both time consuming and, more noteworthy, expensive.A few DIY demo videos later, I was ready to try making some stamps. However, I needed some foam crafting EVA sheets. As this was the only thing I needed them for, a smaller lot of them was actually ideal. Enter this offering of 8 assorted colors and 8 sheets for less than $5.It was just the launching pad I needed & wanted. Following directions, I made my first stamp, and it worked really well. The foam was the perfect thickness and was easily cut. It glued perfectly and when the actual stamping time came, it worked!I've attached a photo of the end result, and what my stamp, well....stamped. LOL It's my first try, so I suspect my end results will improve. But....I can't help but be very encouraged.There are many, many colors and a few color combos to choose from for future projects. I think I've found my craft foam sheet source! Very happy!

I started having problems with the speakers I use on my desk, only the left satellite speaker was working. When I decided to investigate I found the first problem the 2" subwoofer speaker had no foam surround material left whatsoever. I've replaced surrounds on speakers before, but the problem was finding one for this speaker, the JBL Spot: it's odd, it's old and any story I read of problems and attempted repairs ended in defeat and was from years ago. Undeterred I pushed on. Upon full disassembly I saw that it had had two surrounds that had deteriorated and from the looks of it the lower one was going to be hard to impossible to replace. I typically figure that if it was originally installed by man(in the colloquial sense, man, woman doesn't matter) than I can do it too, however if I had to guess I would say the assembly went first surround, speaker cone, dust cap, second surround. This was getting deep. I decided to do just the one and assess from there. This is the part where I learn about EVA foam and it's properties. You can mold things with EVA by heating it and allowing it to cool while pressed around a mold. I made the molds and shaped the foam and it worked out great. Somehow the right speaker started working on it's own and the subwoofer sounds terrible, but it has a bass control and I can dial it completely out as I had done before when it sounded worse. I may take another crack at it and I have plenty of EVA foam sheets that are only big enough to create a surround for this 2" speaker and no other speakers that I own. I had some Boston Acoustic bookshelf speakers that had the same problem, I guess I could have repaired them, but after keeping them for 10+ years I decided to toss them a month or two ago, oh well.

I with this came with 2-3 sheets per color or much larger sheets. There is just not enough foam to do much with it. That said, the colors are great and they quality is nice enough for crafts!
